FULL APPEARANCE: Ondyn seems to break out of the mold that his sisters have set. Where Oni and Anoni are short, he is tall, standing at six feet even. He seems even taller for the fact that everything about him is long and thin. There doesn't seem to be an ounce of fat on his body. His legs are especially long and lean, as are his fingers. His body itself is lithe, like a feline, and while he might seem frail on paper, subtle corded muscles wind their way across his frame, making him deceptively powerful.

His skin is pale, as if he doesn't see any sun, and his dark hair is usually cut short. Facial hair usually covers his face if only because he doesn't care enough to shave. He will usually keep this cut short, however. His eyes are probably the most defining feature about him. They are such a light blue that they seem to glow from the inside. They light up when he smiles.

PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
Ondyn is, for all intents and purposes, a lovely young man. He is without a doubt charming, and courteous with razor wit and a silver tongue. He always seems to know what to say in any situation, and his humor is boundless. There is a compliment or a wry joke on the tip of his tongue at all times and he knows just how to talk to people to get what he wants out of them. Growing up in the darkest parts of Pern tends to do that to a child. Most of this is a show though, like most of the things in Ondyn's life; a cleverly crafted ruse; a game of chess.

Life is a game to Ondyn.

Like all those who grew up in the shadows, Ondyn is a master of masks. He can be whatever people want him to be to get what he wants. The real man is in there, somewhere, buried under bitter resentment and anger. He hides all of this with his easy smiles and jokes and the way his eyes seem to shine when he does. In truth, he cannot be trusted. He is as quick as a tunnelsnake and nearly as deadly. He knows how to steal, and steal well. He knows how to take from people, and if he cannot take without a fight, he can pull out a blade as easily as breathing and spill blood. There is venom lacing his pretty words, and he doesn't seem to care who he hurts in the process of getting what he wants. The boy is ruthless and determined, ambitious to a fault. Whatever he does, Ondyn does in extremes. One moment he can be fine, and the next he can fly off the handle in a murderous rage. He really is as unpredictable as a wild wher.

He does what he has to do, and does it well. If there is a means to an ultimate end, Ondyn will not rest until he has mastered it. He is also obsessed with blades. Particularly small, easily hidden blades. He can almost always be found with one or two on his person and will not be caught out without at least one. He's paranoid at the best of times, and needs a constant way to protect himself.

He doesn't seem to have feelings, or care who he hurts, and while there are a few he can truly care about, he chooses not to reveal this to anyone, even himself. But when he does care about someone, he is unerringly loyal, nearly to the point of obsession.

HISTORY: Ondyn was the first born to a couple at Fort Hold. One would think, being the oldest and one of the children his parents actually cared about, that Ondyn would turn out to be a nice, well adjusted boy. And he was raised in a happy enough family. He never particularly liked the apathetic way his parents treated his youngest sister, Dysoni, but there wasn't much he could do while they were grooming he and Anoni to be the perfect dragonriders.

Unfortunately, Anoni was a little more interested in actually becoming a dragonrider than Ondyn was, and he acted out by learning to steal and stab.

Ondyn was good in a lot of things. He surpassed his parents' expectations often and early. When he was fifteen, he was searched to the weyr and then two turns later, so was Anoni, the pair of them leaving Dysoni behind. He wasn't pleased about that, but at least he would be with Anni. The pair of them were candidates at Fort together, and Ondyn was always trying to encourage Anoni to stand out more, to take more initiative, to do more things. He liked to say that he knew what the dragons liked and how she would impress one.

That was until some woman name Tjenna started to fills Anoni's head with stories. Ondyn didn't approve of the woman, not one bit, and he tried to warn his sister away from her, but it was of no use. Tjenna got Anoni to transfer to Benden. The hold she had had on his sister was strong. And so Ondyn was left alone. He was angry at her. He was angry at Tjenna, and he was angry at the dragons, because turn after turn, Ondyn stood and no dragons decided that they wanted him. He was growing, bitter and resentful, not realizing that it was his own attitude keeping the dragons away.

He finally found his life partner in the most unexpected of places. A wher hatching that he'd attended as an afterthought. He never particularly thought much of whers. They were too small and too ugly for his tastes, but apparently small and ugly was what he attracted, because a green wheret meant for some girl hatched and immediately mauled her, finding her wanting. Ondyn went on the sands to intercept the green and save the girl, and he proceeded to get mauled too.

But apparently the green found something in him that she didn't find in the girl, because she latched down on him, eyes whirling red. Ondysk sees.

Ondyn hadn't wanted a wher, but he was now stuck with one. The pair of them would transfer out of Fort after they graduated. The man wasn't sure if he was looking for his siblings or what, but High Reaches was what he found. It seemed as good a place as any, and didn't have as many dragons. So that's where they went, and that's where he met Majima for the first time.

The handler had never particularly decided on a life of crime for himself, but he was sneaky, and excellent at stealing, plus he was excellent with small blades, so he agreed to be one of the man's enforcers. Ondyn wasn't particularly strong, but he was intimidating in his own right.

FULL APPEARANCE: Ondysk is just huge for a green wher. Extremely muscular and bulky, if it wasn't for the color of her hide, one wouldn't believe she was a green. Low slung, she walks with a lumbering gait, and does everything she can to seem bigger and more intimidating to whoever she comes across; oftentimes clicking her teeth, growling or stomping her paws. Her wings don't help her cause though...they're extremely tiny, especially in comparison with her huge form. Her jaws are massive and exceedingly strong, even by wher standards.

She is primarily a forest green color, but what sets her apart is the sheen that covers her body. She isn't metallic, but her coloring makes her seem to glitter, especially when she's oiled.

PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY: Practically a gold in a green wher's body, Ondysk is domineering and aggressive. She isn't the smartest wher, either. All in all, she has a pretty feral personality; preferring to bite over talk and fight over thinking. She tends to speak more with body language than words. Demanding, she wants things done her way at all times, otherwise she'll get downright vicious. She is the boss, and anyone who questions her superiority isn't immune to getting attacked. Not even Ondyn is immune to his wher's fits of rage, though she is exceedingly more gentle with him than she would be with interlopers...because it might not seem like it, but Ondysk adores her handler.

She is extremely protective of Ondyn, though only really when it comes to those who are not her slighting him. She honestly believe that whatever she does, even if it makes him uncomfortable, is done in his best interest. A big believer of 'the end justifies the means', she believes she knows what Ondyn needs and how far to push him. Because she's always right, okay? Anyone who insists that she's ever wrong gets bitten. She's also extremely possessive of what and who she claims as her's. Ondyn believes she is a queen, and only accepts the best in life.

She's still, ultimately, a green though, and tends to get flirty and even more possessive when it comes time to run.

Since Majima is involved, I'll be reviewing this app.

First off: the personality needs to be toned down. There's no "living in the shadows" in a Weyr or Hold, and he reads far too dark for either TPA or his backstory.

I refer you to this part of the rules:

Assassin characters, child assassins, and trained killers are no longer permitted without admin permission. Characters being trained in combat are fine, but we do not allow "trained from youth to be private killers" characters or variations thereof.


And Fort Hold is not the "darkest parts of Pern". Tone it down, and reel it in.

Next, the wher hatching. Wher hatchings do not work like this.

Wher has eggs, they're tucked away in the handler's quarters somewhere nice, warm, and dark. When the time comes, the wher mom or the handler hands out the eggs. There's no intercepting a wher impression. You just take what you get. There are no grand wher hatching sands. Your egg hatches, you blood the wher, and you are now a handler.

As it stands, Majima wouldn't even waste his time with Ondyn. There's nothing for him.

Additionally, this is minor but it stands out:

Whers are muscular and bulky, this does not make sense to our canon.
