FULL APPEARANCE: V'san is tall, and solidly built; standing at 6'6", he isn't exactly what one would consider 'muscular', but he's moderately stocky. His posture is very straight and rigid, maintaining an air of professionalism about himself at all times. His choices of clothing are often formal, not particularly caring much for any sort of 'fashion', he opts for formality and practicality whenever possible. His shoulder-length, brown hair is always pulled back from his face, and he has dark brown eyes. He has tan skin, and a moderate amount of stubble on his chin. His expressions are often neutral and firm, sometimes with a hint of frustration.

PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
To put it simply, V'san is grumpy. He is pessimistic, cranky, and often entirely, completely done with everyone's whershit. Yet, that's not to say he hates his job; in fact, the opposite is true - he loves being able to teach, and guide people in the right direction. To him, work is the most important thing to him, he strictly abides by rules and always encourages others to do the same, having good organisational and time management skills. He is always very serious and firm, and that usually trudges into the territory of being a complete and utter killjoy. He's got absolutely no sense of humour, he doesn't take shit from anyone, and can be very strict and straightforward in his way of thinking. While he understands most of the Weyrlings are going to be young and excited, he has high standards for behaviour, and he asserts that if they aren't going to take things seriously, they shouldn't have even embarked on such a feat in the first place; he sees no point in dodging around the truth, telling people things exactly like they are. He doesn't stand for any sort of messing around, or incompetence, and these things frustrate him very quickly - yet, he tries his best to maintain a professional attitude and keep himself calm around his students.

Yet, despite V'san's crankiness and no-fun-allowed attitude, he can be surprisingly good with people. He is intelligent, and has a very logical and strategic way of thinking, and is always willing to help, and do his job. He is slightly warmer - or at least, he tries to be - towards people significantly younger than him, knowing that they're just... young, and impressionable, and need guidance in the world. His intentions are good, and he is extremely protective towards the Weyrlings, even if his strict, demanding nature can be problematic - he only wants them to grow up to be professional, capable dragonriders, even if he has a very 'tough-love' way of handling it. Though he works well with guiding the youth, and would never admit it outright, but finds the absolute ray of sunshine that is Pasrith embarrassingly endearing; he is extremely closed off, and snippy towards anyone he doesn't trust... which happens to be anyone who isn't one of his students, his family, or someone he's known for literal turns. As his duties demand it, he will be civil towards those who rank higher than him, or those with whom he works - but, anyone he doesn't know at all will be met with incredible scrutiny and it will take a long, long time for him to warm to them.

HISTORY
FAMILY:
Mother: Andernee, greenrider
Father: J'vis (Jalvis), greenrider
SIGNIFICANT OTHER: None
BIRTHPLACE: Fort Weyr
HISTORY: Visander was born in 2740, in the midst of the Interval War, to two weyrmated greenriders who'd kept him in the creche; his parents often visited when they had a sliver of free time to spare. He was a quiet child, not particularly engaging much with other children, mostly wanting to do his own thing and learn in his own time. He grew up fairly uneventfully, mostly observing the world around him, but there was one thing he knew for sure; he admired those who poured their time and effort into helping others grow into competent adults. He knew, from a very young age, that he wanted to be a teacher when he grew up.

When he turned fifteen, in 2755 - Thread had returned, and he was finally old enough to become a candidate. He felt as though he had a duty; Pern needed protectors, in the form of dragonriders, and he was fully willing to throw himself into the ring and work towards getting his own dragon. He knew what candidacy entailed, it was hard work, but it was hard work of which he was extremely accepting. It was a serious undertaking, and thus, if he wanted to get anywhere in life, he had to do whatever it took. Even though he was young, he was always incredibly serious, and had little tolerance for any sort of 'fun'. He'd observed what made a good Candidatemaster; still, he admired their work. They were incredibly skilled, in his eyes, at preparing these young people for the road ahead. That was still what he strove to be, and he tried his best to learn what it took to get there.

Yet, as more turns passed, and Visander kept failing to impress, he got more and more bitter as time went on; more irritable, more distrusting of people who weren't his seniors, and generally more fed up. But that didn't stop him; he had a goal in mind, he would never just quit right there. And he still didn't hold it against any of the younger candidates that impressed before him, even if he felt a twinge of jealousy towards the more immature ones he felt weren't 'ready' yet for the job. His mid-20s approached quicker than he'd have liked, and he started to consider what direction he could take in life if no dragon had chosen him. Sure, he could've tried for a wher, but that wasn't particularly where his desires were set. But, it was at age 24, when Serapheth had laid her maiden clutch - a green hatched, and bounced over to him with eyes whirling in rainbows. A green who was cheery, bright, an absolute ray of sunshine. Pasrith couldn't have been any further away from him in personality, they were polar opposites. And yet, Visander - now V'san, despite not expecting a dragon like her to choose him at all, found her unbelievably endearing. She was adorable, and there was nothing he could do about it.

Throughout weyrlinghood, V'san's grumpiness and serious outlook on life and Pasrith's cheery and happy nature balanced each other out well; opposites truly did attract in that circumstance. He heeded every ounce of advice the Weyrlingmasters and his mentor gave him, yet, he was still growing more and more exasperated by the day - not by his duties as a Weyrling, or by his dragon - but he was getting tired of Fort Weyr itself. It started with a disrupted touching that ended in kidnapping riders, and it ended with the Weyrlings of Serapheth's third clutch being poisoned. Though neither of these events affected him directly, just hearing about them was enough to put him off. There was way too much political drama that highly distracted from the real issues - namely, Threadfall - and luckily for V'san, shortly after the time the Trailblazers hatched, he'd graduated and was finally old enough to get out of Fort. This new Weyr, Semaca, seemed interesting to him; it was new, and definitely needed plenty of capable people to keep it going. He found himself not only capable enough, but also able to show others vital skills if they needed them. By the end of 2765, he was out of Fort, and started to make a new life at Semaca.

Over the next few turns V'san had tried his hardest to adapt to this new Weyr; yet, Semaca had its own set of challenges. In 2768, the Weyr was heavily threatened by a series of storms that caused a major flood, but he tried his best to try to think about it rationally and logically. He was fully in agreement that the northern Weyrs should've been asked for aid, despite doing what he could himself to help; yet, after the Weyr began to be rebuilt, when the trader ship that appeared nearby turned out to be pirates, he didn't trust them even slightly. They were criminals, and he found it to be an absolutely ludicrous decision to let them just stay at the Weyr.

In the spring of 2773, a Weyrlingmaster position opened; he was eligible, and thus, he applied - and won! Finally, he got his dream job, and he knew he could guide people in the right direction. Since then, he's been doing his job comfortably - yet, he definitely, still, doesn't exactly feel great about the pirates. Allowing them to be Candidates felt like a strange choice, in his mind; the life of a pirate didn't particularly sit well with his ideal concept of a Candidate, and in the future, a rider.

BASICS

NAME: Pasrith
BIRTHDATE Late Winter of 2763
AGE: 8 months as of 2764

CLUTCHING
[Whers/Dragons only]

CLUTCHING: NO
RUNS/FLIGHTS: 1

APPEARANCE
LENGTH: 26
HEIGHT: 6.5
WINGSPAN: 39
COLOR: Green
HEX CODE: #00ae4c
FULL APPEARANCE:
Pasrith could not be more green if she tried. She's a bright spring-mint green and if it were in her capacity to do so, she would probably be glowing. She's a little bit pudgy around the middle, with a slightly rounded nose and stubby toes. Her points are in a bright, neon green that rivals some of the more flashier dragons at Fort. She doesn't like to walk normally, preferring to bounce around on her feet like she's really some sort of lapine or baby caprine. Her wingsails are gorgeous, large and small green spots that look like fizzy bubbles in a drink. She's not a terribly graceful flier, but she has fun and that's the point, for her anyways.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
Pasrith is a very cheery green. She lives to make others happy, it's what gives her most purpose in life. She always seems to have energy, and even when she doesn't, well... she tries very hard. Pasrith is a dragon who always tries to give 100%, and feels discouraged when she is either too tired or just unable to do things right. She wants to make the world better though sheer force of her energetic chipper personality. This can sometimes make her overbearing and annoying, and she'll need to learn that not everyone likes when she's so cheery. Moderation will be key to her growing up. She really likes sweets.

To her rider, Pasrith is a supportive friend who tries everything to make sure that things are okay. She doesn't like feeling sad, and doesn't like her partner to be sad. Her methods of cheering someone up may not be entirely perfect, since a party doesn't cure everything, but her heart is in the right place. She can be extremely clever when she slows down and takes the time to analyze the situation before her clearly. The problem is getting her to calm down. She just likes to be helpful, even if she's a little ditzy now and then.

VOICE: Pasrith has a very high voice, cheery and happy almost all the time. She likes to combine words together when she's very excited.
