Takes care of her skin with lotions and oils.
Has a preference for vivid colors or stark black. Often wears leather or suede jackets, or even her riding leathers, except in the warmer days of summer. Launders many of her own more expensive items of clothing, and the care shows. Loves jewelry, particularly that made of leather, non-precious stones such as basalt or granite, or organics such as claws or teeth. Wears a talisman made of braided leather around a runner wolf-tooth.

Praxidaiky might have made a classic bronzerider, had she been born a man. Self-assured, prideful, and with limited regard or courtesy for those "above" her, Prax swaggers through life. She can be brash, lavish, and over-the-top, with a flair for the dramatic and a tendency to exaggerate. That's not to say that she's out of control or overly emotional; rather, she is in tight control of her emotional reactions, and it is her persona that toes the line between charming discourtesy and rudeness.
The travels of her early childhood left her with a bit of wanderlust, and she tends to like acquiring new things and new experiences. Before being Searched, Praxidaiky channeled this into bringing remedies via runner to outlying cotholds in Ruatha, visiting every far corner she could finagle her way into. Along the way, she's picked up a fair number of stories and tales, and enjoys sharing them with others.

HISTORY: Though she was born in Ruatha Hold, Prax has no memories of it from her early childhood. Her mother was a traveler, a true journeyman harper, and Praxidaiky was along for the ride. They tended to overwinter in holds large enough to support them, but in the summer season, Deprana was essentially a wandering bard, singing and teaching for her meals and those of her young daughter.
Praxidaiky learned to sing, drum, and strum as soon as she was able, and often drummed simple beats for her mother while Deprana sang and played. But as Praxidaiky got older and riding pillion for long miles with her mother grew rather more uncomfortable and hard on the runner bearing them, Deprana decided that the road was no place for her child, and they returned to Ruatha Hold.
Deprana's sister, Rexine, was one of the hostlers at the Hold, working with the endurance runners that Ruatha Hold bred. The older woman agreed to take 7-turn-old Prax on, leaving Deprana to her wandering life. Though Praxidaiky would see her mother several times more through the next turns, and received the occasional gift or letter via her mother's firelizard, from that point on, Rexine was far more Prax's mother than Deprana.
Though the turn after being abandoned was difficult for the child, Praxidaiky was eventually won over by her aunt's bribes of time with the runners, and before long was working in the stables herself. When she was in her early teens, Praxidaiky had proven herself reliable enough to exercise the runners - who often needed to be run for miles, given their stamina - and was frequently sent out on errands across the Hold's lands, bringing supplies to more distant cotholders or simply going out on long loops with one of the runners in training.
Her long rides brought her in contact with all sorts of interesting people, and Praxidaiky took an interest in the songs and stories of some of the more remote cotholders. She started writing them down in a journal and sharing them with others - after all, so many of them would never be documented otherwise, and that would be a shame, wouldn't it?
She nearly missed out on being Searched - she arrived back to the Hold just as the dragonrider was preparing to leave, and would have completely ignored them in favor of getting her charge rubbed down and back in his stall with a few flakes of fresh hay, if the rider hadn't followed her to the stables and bearded her in her lair. It didn't take too much convincing to get her to give dragonriding a shot - after all, would visiting cotholds even hold a candle to flying sweeps? - though when she arrived into the chaos of Fort, Prax did have to consider if she'd made a terrible mistake...
