"You have to go. If you continue to restrict people based on nothing but outdated traditions, people will only get hurt. If you're going to stop dragons from doing their jobs, dragons will be injured, or worse, killed." Cyr'a stood amongst the other rebels, her arms folded, her dragon behind her. Though Equinoth couldn't exactly train, much, she was in full support of the new Freedom Wing. Her closest friend had been grounded. Her wing had been devastated this Threadfall, with the loss of Charlith, and the grounding of the old Wingleader due to injury. She knew that what she was doing was risky. He was the Weyrleader, after all. But, in her mind, it was for the greater good.

The dragon, behind her, glared with red eyes, echoing the statement of her rider. You... You suck! Equinoth didn't have much of an argument. She just knew that Cyr'a hated Z'osh for his views. "We aren't looking for a fight. We want this to be resolved peacefully. You have to let them go!"

Akira of Green Auruth- Tag Gino, Cyr'a, Z'osh

Things had finally come to a head, and Akira wasn't going to sit out. Auruth had her reservations, but had eventually agreed that for the good of the Weyr they needed to act. He stood with Cyr'a and Gino, having dragged the latter along with him, and Auruth with Equinoth. "We're done listening to your crap! Times have changed, if you're not too blind to see it!" He yelled.

We will no longer tolerate your injustice! Auruth added, starting to get riled up now that they were on the scene.

V'hul of Green Piath

V'hul knew in her heart of hearts that this was wrong. If a coup had been the incorrect way to go about things in the first place, then why were people acting as though it was okay now? It was just a convenient excuse, wasn't it? Rules for thee, but not for me. As long as it served the cause of radical anti-traditionalism, any means was excusable to these people. S'bor's method of rising to power wasn't just, but his ideas were sound, and now people were just trying to cause further instability.

"Dragons were injured and killed before Z'osh ever came to power. You say you're not looking for a fight, but you've assembled a mob clearly meant to threaten and intimidate. How is that supposed to be justice?"

She bet a Harper had put them all up to this somehow. They were the real threat, one that someone needed to convince leadership to deal with.

R'tel of Blue Jagath - V'hul (& Z'osh by proxy)

"Dragons were injured and killed because Z'osh came to power. How many of them would have been spared if he hadn't rearranged the wings and cut their numbers by half? You're only calling us a mob because you disagree with us," R'tel stated coldly, arms folded across his chest. Jagath was behind him, eyes whirling with oranges and reds of his irritation. This whole thing was ridiculous, and it was all because of Z'osh. Did R'tel care if things got violent? Not particularly, but it was definitely not the top item on his list today.

Beyond that, they were here because they were training on their own, without the idiot's new regime. He'd fall out of power eventually, and having dragons sitting around doing nothing was hardly the right thing to do. "We're within our right to train for Threadfall, unless Z'osh's next brilliant plan is to stop all practice and kill even more of Fort."

Z'rya sneered at the group of people who had chosen that she wasn't allowed to fly just because she was a bronzerider, most of her glare looking right to Z'osh, "Unlike you, we care for the Weyr! We want Tuckal back in power and you out!" Gravith nodded in agreement, his eyes a bright red color as he glared at them.

"We could have saved lives like Charlith if it hadn't been for you! Because of you, a dragon DIED! Most of the Weyr suffered as a direct result of you grounding a good portion of riders!" The bronze dragon was not happy, flicking his tail back and forth.

Moenbryda of Bronze Cendocreth - Z'osh/open

Moenbryda wished she had an axe in case things got messy, but her belt knife would have to do. Cendocreth was ready to fight, and to contact Serapheth at the first sign of trouble, but he did not relish the prospect of brute force.

"You've lost. By dividing the Weyr, you've shown that you can't lead one in the first place. This doesn't have to become violent if you step down peacefully." She kept her hand on the hilt of her belt knife, ready to draw it at a moment's notice.

Kurue of Garnet Artesiath - Z'osh/open

Kurue had not been able to get wingsecond knots, but she wished she had them. It would be an added boost of confidence as she faced the consequences of her actions. Justified actions, to be sure, but Kurue had never been in the midst of such conflict before, and it was far less thrilling than the Harper tales would have had her believe.

"We cannot afford to lose more dragonpairs. This has to end, or many more will die, and you have failed in your most basic duty as a dragonrider, much less a Weyrleader."

Dragonless Gino - Akira of Green Auruth

Yet again, Gino found himself involved in shenanigans. His weyrmate seemed bound and determined to keep Gino involved in Weyr goings-on, and Gino appreciated the distraction. Usually.

The sight of the bronzes that had already gathered made him freeze, suppressed memories of the bloody Flight that had torn him in half struggling to rise to the surface. He took deep breaths. Closing his eyes, he clung to Akira's hand like a lifeline, listening to his weyrmate's voice. He clung to the hope that no bronzes would die today.

Cal of Brown Langeth

What was the problem here? He and the rest of the Freedom Wing were peacefully training. Z'osh and his cronies were the ones coming over here and instigating. Cal was tired of him, and Cal was tired of all of this. Langeth stood behind him, eyes displaying just how angry he was. If he had to fight, he would. Neither of them were above brawling.

"Who says we're a mob? And who says we've been threatening you? Have we been ranting and raving outside of your houses like a mob does? Have we forced any new regime onto you? Have we made any attack on you or your safety? No, we haven't. We have been doing what is in our power to protect this weyr from another bad Threadfall, can you all say the same?"

Vox of White Varelsith

Vox was riled. This was wrong, this was all wrong. What was happening to the Weyr that this guy was allowed to be in charge in the first place? Varelsith stood beside her rider, eying down the traditionalists like she had nothing to lose.

"There is no sense in cutting the weyr's numbers like you've done. You're putting everyone at risk and denying dragons and riders who've done nothing wrong the right to protect their home and to just... exist. It's- it's..." Stupid? Dumb? Idiotic? "It's a crock of shards, is what it is. What sort of 'justice' are you providing? 'Justice' for those who got the upper hand of the traditional hierarchy and forsk all for the rest?"

Lena of Blue Kintokith

Lena was pacing, clearly nervous, but not backing down. She hadn't taken her eyes of Z'osh or his supporters since they showed up, just in case they tried anything. But what exactly could she do to them? She had her belt knife, if need be... but a lot of them were larger than her, their dragons larger than Kintokith. One on one, there was no hope of winning. But maybe with the rest of the Freedom wing here...

"Justice?! How is grounding so many dragons and putting holes in Fort's wings 'justice', huh? Buncha shards is what it is! Just because Z'osh doesn't like women on bronzes or garnets in general, he gets to make the choice to expose everyone else? If we go his way Fort will not stand strong as the Peacekeepers! What does he plan to do if we go the way of High Reaches? Does he plan to thieve eggs from other weyrs if the holes in our wings get bad enough? Go to Benden for help?" She didn't know. She didn't know! Neither of those things were good options. They were self reliant with the garnets in their wings... why ruin a good thing just for the sake of tradition?

Akechi of Brown Cordaeth

Of course things would come to this. The pessimist Akechi was never let him believe it would be any different. He stood rigidly off to the side, hand actively on his belt knife. Cordaeth's eyes whirled reds and yellows; Akechi's anger and his own alongside worry. Surely this wouldn't come to blows. His rider, however, seemed to think it would. Hoped it would, based on how attentively he was watching Z'osh.

Someone with less self control already would have, Akechi decided, but he didn't relax one bit. Not even as his dragon pressed closer.

He would deserve it.

That's not for us to decide. Cordaeth murmured.

Cyr'a of Green Equinoth - Akira, Lena, V'hul, Z'osh

Though she continued to nod along to what the others were saying, mostly Akira, who was stood next to her; the greenrider insisting that any of this was 'justice' only made Cyr'a more mad. She shot a look at V'hul as she seemed to insist that what was going on here was anything remotely like a display of justice, eyes looking mostly between her and Z'osh. "She's right." She thumbed at Lena. "This is not another coup. This is people trying to gain back their rights. Times have moved on. Women have proved themselves just as worthy of riding bronze as men. Garnets flame thread just like everyone else. All you're doing is being a dick for no reason! Don't you have an ounce of compassion?!"

Equinoth was torn. If he doesn't listen to words, THEN what do we do?! Someone's gonna attack him at this rate.

"Attack him with more words. He is not dying." Cyr'a knew that killing him was not the best course of action, or at least she thought so. He just had to be removed from his position.

The rabble is certainly roused, and Z'osh's supporters are more than ready to fight on his orders. They are waiting. The tension can be cut with a knife. There's yelling, insults, everything only getting more and more volatile.

The tensions only increased. Z'osh's supporters only looked more and more pissed off by the second. Cyr'a stood her ground, firmly, still believing that this could be solved without violence, even if it seemed less and less likely that that would be the case. Equinoth, on the other hand, was losing her patience. She couldn't let Cyr'a get hurt. She couldn't let ANY of the rebels get hurt, for they only wanted to stand up against Z'osh and his cruel regime. But, words were getting them nowhere. All it was doing was making the traditionalists more and more annoyed.

Cyr'a... I'm sorry. I have to. For our Weyr... I can't stand this any longer. The rider glanced over at her dragon, whose eyes flicked between yellow and red. She was angry at Z'osh, but afraid, of what she was about to do. She felt she had to. Someone had to. "What are you going to do...?" The rider didn't want to fight. This could still be resolved, she thought. She wasn't smart, but she had hope.

He's going to hurt you if I don't hurt him first! She locked onto the traditionalist crowd, attempting to lunge herself at them - as fast as she could go, still limping somewhat from her previous injuries - getting right into the fray, ready to strike. Cyr'a yelled in distress, extending her arm. "STOP!"

YOU WILL NOT TAKE OUR HOME! She stopped listening to Cyr'a. She would show them the true meaning of justice.

((As for injuries, I'm good with up to major for Cyr'a and up to permanent for Equinoth, maybe fatal if the plot demands it.

Akira of Green Auruth- tag Gino, Z'osh, mention Equinoth

Things were escalating and escalating quickly. Voices were being raised and it was becoming clear that talking wasn't working and people were done waiting. Or rather, dragons were done waiting, as Equinoth made the first move. It was about time the humans did too. Keep Gino safe!

What are you doing?! Auruth cried, stuck between aiding Equinoth and pulling her rider out of there.

Something really stupid! Akira squeezed, then released Gino's hand before lunging forward, aiming a solid right cross at Z'osh's face.

Z'rya of Bronze Gravith - Akira, rest of the protestors, whoever wants Z'rya to try and hit their character

Z'rya gripped her fist tightly, glaring down at the man who had caused so many problems to the weyr. The weyr that had been her home since she was a child. She hated this man with a great passion, but she felt she couldn't do anything.

However, when she saw a greenrider move to try and punch Z'osh, she grinned a bit before speaking, "He's got the right thing on his mind! We need to take back our weyr! Together, we are strong!" She moved to follow Akira, aiming a punch to another of Z'osh's followers in the gut.

Gravith flapped his wings before looking at the other dragons, "Some of us need to go and break Tuckal and Serapheth out. We can not allow for this to continue."

Negan of Brown Wireth - Weyr Guards

Negan was fast asleep, completely unaware of everything that was going on down in the Weyrbowl. That ended quickly when it got just a little too loud and Walker, the little shit, flew over, landed on his chest, and whined until he woke up. He got up, and followed Walker out to the ledge, looking down and seeing the commotion. He sighed- why did they have to be doing this in the middle of the night? Couldn't they have a riot in the middle of the day when he was more awake and able to make better decisions?

Didn't matter, he made it. He quickly cleaned himself up a little before making his way down to Tuckal's weyr. He looked at the riders guarding the door before crossing his arms. What was he doing here? Faranth. He sighed. "Z'osh's down in the Bowl fighting off some traitors. Big riot, woke me up. Betcha he'd be mighty thankful if some big bronzes went down there for some extra numbers in the fight. I'll man the door for ya n' get Wireth out on the ledge. I'd hurry before someone shanks the poor fella. Sounds really heated." He was just hoping that would work and get them out of the way.
