About Those Pies [Open]

For a moment, Renkestuous thought that he was caught. One of the cooks had just about stared a hole in his head. Thankfully, his gangly build made it look like he might still be growing, and growing boys tended to beg or snitch food from kitchens all the time. As such, he sort of almost not quite blended in ... and he only needed to sneak by the cooks and kitchen helpers for a minute.

There was filling for bubbly pie on, and Renkestuous had a little pouch of dried, ground-up firefruits that wouldn't change the color of the filling at all. All he needed was for the cooks to all be distracted, and then he could mix it in and get out of there.

Except he wasn't really known for his patience. As such, Renkestuous grabbed a rock, bounced it in his palm a couple of times, then threw it at the far side of the cookhouse in the hopes of distracting everyone for a minute or two. Once he tossed the rock, Ren made a dash for the bubbly pie filling, dumping his ground firefruits in and grabbing the spoon to start stirring furiously.
