Ke'ro had known this was coming, but it was still a shock when his green jolted, and rushed out of the weyr before he could say anything. He moved to close his door, trying to control the rush of emotions in him. It was confusing, it was a mix of so many things he had to understand at his own pace.

Ossabhath, however, was all whirling greens and purples, rocketing into the sky.

Come an' get me ya wimps! Catch me if ya can! She proudly trumpeted to the weyr, rising into the midday sun.

Kidagakath could feel her blood quicken as soon as Ossabhath's voice found her sunning, as soon as her eyes spotted her ascending into a midday sun. As she stood, she slowly extended her wings, intent on chasing. Thatch too got from his seat, quietly moving to secure his door. Being an experienced dragonrider of some Turns, he was well aware what was to happen. "That Ossabhath seems like a green of great strength," he quipped, managing a small smile. "Chase well and good luck, Kidagakath."

Kidagakath didn't answer, though she acknowledged her bonded's comments in wordless gratitude, before falling into pursuit of Ossabhath. A challenge answered, she proudly announced herself to Ossabhath, her path steady and strong. I shall prove myself worthy of such admirable spirit.

Francel had been enjoying his afternoon tea and pondering going to seek out Eli, as he was very fond of her company when he felt his calming thoughts swirl into something else entirely. Suddenly his once pure thoughts were painted with a weirdly carnal fire. Feeling his face turn cherry pink, he rapidly shut his door, cringing as it echoed loudly as he slammed it too hard. The lock was slipped into place and he quickly went to go bury his face in his pillow. He was certainly NOT going to see anyone now. Unlike a lot of riders, given that Vettith almost never chased, he did not often deal with this sort of thing and anytime he did.. it was always.. intense. What was it about this chase that had ignited such a fire in Vettith? He didn't have answers and resolved himself to an evening of avoiding contact with anyone for the time being. He was worried for his dragon though.. especially if he was rejected by the female dragon.

The reasoning of this sudden rush was Vettith, whom heard Ossabhath's call and his body was vibrating with excitement and electricity as he jumped into the air and immediately went after the green. " I am no wimp, but actions speak louder than words, let me show you just how much!" Vettith called chipperly and his wings beat hard as he flew after the green, ignoring any other dragon in his path, he had a goal to prove himself. But the insecurities were still there in his mind.. was he good enough for this.. was this a bad idea? Well.. it was too late now. He also felt a bit guilty that he acted a bit impulsively and did not give his rider prior warning.. he would have to make it up to him later.

Wimps? Wimps?! Amaterath was tempted to give this young upstart a piece of her mind. Wimps indeed! She knew, from her rider's memories, some of the things she had done in both war and Threadfall. Nobody had the right to call her a wimp, so far as she could think. She doubted there was a dragon on all of Pern capable of earning that right.

She launched herself into the air, bugling out a challenge. She would let neither age nor insult stop her here. Never doubt that I can catch you. It is only a matter of whether we each decide that the other is worthy, she hissed, a part of her still somewhat incensed by the insult. Ossabhath was a rather impressive green, but it was important to be more than just an impressive physical specimen—and Amaterath wasn't yet entirely convinced.

Blue Firarith

A green was rising. And that meant that Firarith wouldn't be far behind, if only to ensure she got the proper respect that she deserved. Even if the green in question did not need to be handled with kid gloves the way other greens sometimes did.

With a courtesy warning to his bond (and the obligatory "Go get 'em, big guy!" in response) he was off after Ossabhath like a shot. Hello, fierce Ossabhath. I am Firarith. I'm hardly a wimp, and I think I'm more than up to the challenge of catching you. It wasn't as flattering as it typically was, but this did not strike him as a green who liked flattery, and he tried to match each green where she was, rather than simply try to flirt with them all in the same manner every time and expect that to work.

The chase was the fun part!

Ossabhath was greatly enjoying herself, flying in tight loops and long swirls around the skies of the Weyrbowl. Her fine chasers were certainly flattering, but she would need to choose as she made her final ascent. After all, there had to be a winner.

Well, Amaterath, you'd better get up here! She declared. Though she was tiring, her eyes whirled in delight.
