His voice was quiet. He wanted them to leave him be, to let him stagger his way back to the Weyr on his own, but it was beyond that now. He wasn't capable of making it back there on his own, and he slumped down to his knees when he was set back down.

He just wanted to sleep. Things didn't hurt when he slept.

Cyan tried very, very hard not to roll his eyes at Ygbir's antics. He really did. He also failed to restrain himself. At least Pothecath seemed to have some sense. And he had a point - the dragonless fellow did not seem like he could hold onto a dragon right now.

We carry, Cyask agreed. Go slow. Not drop.

With a nod of agreement, Cyan situated himself at Cyask's side, ready to keep Time steady on his partner's back. "All right, put him on," he said. At least the dragonless man had confirmed he'd not been hurt ...

"Oh, now he can talk!" Ygbir groaned, rolling his eyes. "You couldn't have done that before punching me? You could've saved us both a lot of grief if you would've just used your words."

Shut up. Pothecath repeated to his rider, giving him a glare. This had gotten completely out of hand so quickly, he just hoped that they wouldn't get in trouble when they did make it back to the weyr. Maybe any punishment they would get for shirking their normal duties would be forgiven by bringing the Dragonless back in one piece. Well, at least one piece physically.

Let's get you on Cyask, Pothecath told Time in what he was attempting to make a comforting tone, but came out more apprehensive than anything.

As gently as he could with his claws, Pothecath placed Time on Cyask's back. He slowly pulled his forelimbs away, as if he had set an egg upright and was waiting for it to topple back on its side. Are you sure you're alright? He added, pity clear in his voice.
