FULL APPEARANCE: Serisae is a very pretty young woman, with petite, delicate features. Her eyes, a vibrant blue, are wide; combined with the natural arch of her brows, she often looks surprised...when she isn't glaring, at least. Her hair is brown and straight, worn down to her shoulders. In terms of style, Serisae is generally on the femme side, but preferring clothing that is still easy to move around in. She is a soldier, in many ways, but she is still a woman, and she is more than happy to embrace stereotypical femininity. Although she has a preference for the color blue--perhaps due to enjoying the work of harpers--she has no association with the aforementioned craft. She holds herself with confidence and poise, perhaps even a bit of arrogance, despite being of average height. She is capable of the physical tasks required of her, but Serisae gains and keeps weight easily.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY: Serisae is not exactly a pleasant person. Deep down, she has some positive qualities, like how fiercely she loves, or how kind and generous she is to her loved ones. Unfortunately, most people do not fall into this category. To most, Serisae is arrogant and rude. She will insult you, and she will demean you. Even if she views you as above her, unless you actually hold rank or have a strong personality, she will be rude. Luckily, she isn't especially clever in her insults.
Although Serisae seems like a forceful and abrasive person, at least externally, this is largely an act. Sure, she's still unpleasant and rude, but she has far less confidence and strength than she portrays herself with. In reality, much of Serisae's bullying nature comes from insecurity and low self esteem, so she overcompensates. Because of this, she tends to defer to personalities that have more strength than her, whether through begrudging respect or by being a complete suck-up. She easily folds to those with strong personalities. Authority figures of all kinds receive her respect, her deference, her obedience. She is a sycophant to authority figures--including gold/bronze riders--viewing those with any kind of rank as flawless. If she views someone as below her in rank, including weyrfolk, drudges, her response is disdain. For whers, she acknowledges the metallic/chromatic divide, even if most handlers do not. Bronze and gold handlers are above her, while all other handlers are her equals.
Being a traditionalist at High Reaches is not exactly an adaptive, flexible, or even helpful identity. Her values are largely a result of her rigid thinking and inability to consider things carefully. She remains set in her ways, even though they often put her beneath others. With few critical thinking skills and a strong stubbornness, hierarchies appeal to her, and she somewhat-secretly wishes that the natural order of weyrs would be restored. Although extremely disrespectful to most, she respects authority to an extreme, and values this trait about herself. She's a stickler for rules, and is quick to report individuals who do not adhere to the rules to the proper authorities. She is dutiful, dependable, and responsible. Even if she doesn't like someone--and most people fall into that category--she will make sure the team performs well in their job. Of course, she will be harsh and critical if someone falls short.

SIGNIFICANT OTHER: NPC that Maybe Merry is Making
BIRTHPLACE: Igen Weyr
HISTORY: Before Serisae's birth, S'ris had several children with various mothers. He lived with his weyrmate, a drudge named Aesri, from 2744 to 2746, in a monogamous relationship. When Aesri found out she was pregnant, she panicked, leaving S'ris, who quickly jumped onto his next weyrmate. Despite Aesri's continuous involvement, Serisae was raised in the creche. Traditionalist views from S'ris's peripheral involvement and the weyr as a whole seeped into Serisae, who began to disdain her low-ranking drudge of a mother.
In 2762, at 15, Serisae became a candidate and was convinced she'd get gold, aspiring to rank, as her father taught her to. She had no interest in whers, until she was 19. She met a cute boy around her age and became a dual candidate, just to have classes with him. Whers were inelegant and ugly, but surely, if she looked disinterested, she wouldn't be picked. At 20, in 2767, barely a turn after she became a dual candidate, her crush Impressed to a wher. And then...the queen rolled an egg to her. She grit her teeth and bonded with him, knowing that the weyr needed resources. At least Saesk was a confidante and an ally, even if he wasn't the brightest. Serisae would remain bitter about her rank.
In 2768, the wherling class graduated. Instead of just flirting with her crush, she (very awkwardly) asked him out. He hadn't seemed to realize beforehand, but he was quick to jump in, and soon felt strongly about her. Their relationship was tumultuous, on-and-off, with a few gaps in between where their animosity made them seem like typical angry ex-lovers. He transferred to HRW two turns later, and although they wrote, she missed him greatly. She requested a transfer in late 2770, after a gold had finally hatched for the weyr. Serisae wrote to her father, but he rarely wrote back. Aesri wrote to Serisae, but she rarely wrote back.
Despite the weyr losing Aldoeith, a leader of a gold, a new gold hatched, so the weyr would not be left without a
