Her hair, bordering on that color stage of blonde and light brown, is rarely ever pulled back. She likes it when her naturally wavy hair falls over her shoulders and down her back. To her, this was one of the things that she would have used for her craft if she wouldn't have impressed upon Taibabrith. Her skin is almost a milky white color that seem to help accent the lighter colors in her hazel eyes. She isn't one for overly done clothing and likes to just wear the basic tunics and robes. She has a slim build, which she doesn't mind because it works when she is on Taibabrtih's back, she feels like the large Garnet doesn't need more weight to have to carry than needed.
PERSONALITY
STRENGTHS: Artistic, Smart, Cheerful, Helpful
WEAKNESSES: Passive, Honest, Blunt, Follower
LIKES: Singing, Stories
DISLIKES: Obnoxious Behavior, Being Rushed
PERSONALITY:
She is one of the artsy types, and it can be seen when she is idly doing something because she will just start singing a song under her breath for background noise. Singing is one of her favorite things to do, whether it be for the entire weyr, or just for herself and Taibabrith. The other thing that she likes to do is retell stories that she has heard, or make up her own to make others happy or to just satisfy Taibabrith's need for her own story telling. She was taught from a young age everything that has to do with Pern, she doesn't remember all of it, but she does remember the main points that are important.
She is almost as merry as Taibabrith, but the Garnet seems to be more cheerful, and she does have to remind her every once in a while that not everyone is that joyful. She loves Taibabrith and she over looks her stutter. To Varneala, the garnet's stutter is beautiful and part of her. She loves to help others, no matter what they might be in the need of help for. She feels that everyone deserves the help that they ask for. She hates fighting though, and cannot stand to see a fight. She doesn't like seeing any kind of fights, human, dragon, wher, physical, or verbal. She would rather not be involved in them and unlike Taibabrith, she tries to just walk away.
But her honesty can be called a bad thing, because she is blunt with it. She doesn't seem to think before she answers a question that might accidentally hurt someone's feelings. But if she notices that she did hurt your feelings, she quickly apologizes and leaves if you don't want her around anymore. Hurting people is not something that she strives for, and she truly is apologetic if she realizes that she hurt you. When it comes to being in a team, she tends to just follow the leader. She doesn't know how to lead, and she fears that she would be a horrible leader.

Jicalla: Mother, Healer
Varneagosh: Father, Harper
Jicah: Brother, Healer, born 2740
SIGNIFICANT OTHER: N/A
BIRTHPLACE: Bitra Hold
HISTORY:
Bitra Hold didn't seem to be lacking in the population when Varneala was born, but they didn't seem to want to make her go away either. She was welcomed with open arms into her family ad both of the Crafts that her parents were apart of. Growing up, she would be told of the traditional ways for Pern and how things would work. She listened to stories and songs that her father would tell her, and then she would learn little minor things that she would need to know for First Aid from her mother. When she turned eight, she was told that she was allowed to become an apprentice to a craft as well.
She joined the Harper's like her father. As she grew up, she would start singing the songs with him, and she had started to like singing. Her mother wasn't hurt by Varneala's choice, because her older brother had become a healer just a turn before her. Varneala had been scared that her mother wanted her to be a healer more, so to hear that her mother was okay with her becoming a harper, it helped her feel better about her choice. She enjoyed the teachings that she received day after day, turn after turn. But it wasn't until she turned fifteen that she had to make a decision. One that she thought on for a few minutes before saying yes. She was found by a Searchrider for Benden Weyr, and she went with the rider. Dragons had always intrigued her, so she wanted to see more about them. She wanted to see more of them.
For three long turns, she went to lessons and stood for hatchings, but she seemed to get passed up for all of them. She didn't know why, but she also knew that she still had a few turns to go before she really needed to worry. But it still didn't stop the nagging feeling in the back of her mind that she might never get chosen by a dragonet. When she turned nineteen, she heard that Fort Weyr was accepting candidate transfers for some upcoming clutches, so she said her goodbyes to her friends and family and left for Fort Weyr. She thought that maybe a new beginning and new dragons might be what she needed. She knew that it was a long shot, but it was still an opportunity that she wanted to take.
A turn had passed, and she was pleasantly surprised to see so many pretty dragons at a hatching for Gold Imorith and Brown Kryzeth. She knew, from standing at many different hatchings, that a hatching could be violent. She saw no surprise when a few candidates got mauled, some more serious than others. But what did surprise her was the color of some of the dragons. Two were a pretty red color, and she thought that she heard someone call them Garnets. She heard whispers already of the traditionalists who hated them, but she was in awe. That was when her life changed and her mind was no longer hers.
As the final egg of the clutch hatched, she was sure that she wasn't going to Impress at all and that she would be waiting for the next hatching to come around. But that didn't happen. The final egg held a really bright and beautiful red Garnet. She seemed so happy and cheery as she moved through the candidates, and right to Varneala. V-v-v-varnell-a-a-a! Y-y-ou can stop waiting for m-me! That beautiful, yet softly masculine, voice was in her head and she looked at Taibabrith and saw the rainbows in her eyes. Varneala had seemed to have missed the stutter that the dragonet had, and instead, went to go and feed the newly hatched dragon.
Their weyrling lessons started right away, and she quickly learned that Taibabrith was just as cheerful as herself, if not more cheerful than her. Taibabrith seemed to get along perfectly with her brothers, and kind of relied on them, which Varneala didn't mind, because that meant that she would be able to make friends out of their riders, right? But it when Lexian and her green, Quth, were fired from being the Weyrlingmaster because of how shew as defending the Weyrlings. But once it was heard, many of the weyrlings revolted and protested until Lexien and Quth were reinstated as Weyrlingmaster. From there, her weyrling lessons seemed to fly by and she was soon placed in the Twilight Wing. Then the Threadfall turned severe and dangerous.
They fought it alongside their wing all the way through to the winter. Varneala and Taibabrith managed to escape the Threadfall without any kind of injuries, but the winter wasn't so kind to them still. Some Benden riders came to Fort and attacked Gold Serapheth during her Touching. This attack had resulted in to riders being kidnapped. During this attack, she seemed to miss the hatching completely, because she was avoiding eyes of other riders. She was from Benden originally. She wouldn't be surprised if their looks had been because they thought that she helped tell them when the queen would be vulnerable. But that was far from the truth, but it was hard for her to explain that without others still thinking ill of her. So when Semaca Weyr opened their doors and said that they were accepting transfers, the pair left Fort Weyr behind.
When they first got to Semaca, Varneala was worried that they would still be looked down upon, but that was far from the truth, and this made them both happy. After being at Semaca for a turn, the Solus Hatching happened. From the first egg hatching, there was blood, and a very angry garnet. After a few eggs hatched, Vareala and Taibabrith were mystified by the unique who hatched, Void Oscamith. He was a beautiful little unique, kind of like Almandine Cabadath and Steel Anderoth. But that was when Nuuth rejected the unique dragon, and this made both Varneala and Taibabrtih mad. Who in their right mind would reject a beautiful creature? That was when all chaos broke out, dragons ad riders revolting against Nuuth, because she had the nerve to reject a hatchling and challenge others.
But when a chimera was hatched, Varneala was concerned for its coloring. It claimed to be a Blue, but it was mixed with Bronze. But it impressed upon a boy, then challenged Gold Nuuth. Gold Nuuth left and the hatching seemed to become clam once more. The hatching was just chaos still though, and the weather even agreed when thunder had started to crack overhead during it. Taibabrith had been surprised at the Gold's hatred, but Varneala knew it well, since she had originally been from Benden. Two more turns has passed, and besides just the normal Thread fighting, nothing dangerous seems to have happened to the pair, which they both enjoy. Taibabrith has some of her clutchbrothers around that she can still talk to, and Varneala is starting to make her own friends as well.
