EYES: Brown
HAIR: Dark brown; So dark that it's almost black.
HEIGHT AND BUILD: 6'2''; He's tall, but lean. Everything about the man is long and thin.
PLAY-BY: Hale Appleman
FULL APPEARANCE: Eliot is tall and thin. He has subtle muscle, but it isn't overly obvious beneath his pale skin. He has an oval face and sharp features. His facial hair is always kept short or shaved. His brown eyes are almond shaped and extremely expressive. His dark hair is wavy and usually styled in a number of different ways. He almost always keeps his hair immaculate.

He walks with an air of grace, whether that grace is deserved or not is up to the beholder. Everything he does, every move he makes is on purpose. He's always dressed up. He takes great pride in his appearance, and while it isn't super rare to see him dressed down, that's usually reserved for when he is at home.

PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY: Ego, thy name is Eliot.

Eliot is the best thing that's happened to Pern, and he isn't afraid to let people know. He has a very high opinion of himself, and holds himself with an air of arrogance. That doesn't mean he's completely full of himself (he is), deep down he does want to help people, as long as that doesn't interfere with his own self interests. So while he might seem like it on the outside, he isn't a bad person. He's just extremely selfish. He’s incredibly vain and narcissistic, so that isn’t really a surprise. He’s actually quite grumpy if he doesn’t have people paying attention to him. He’s happiest when he has people fawning over him.

He has a thing for parties. He considers himself the party king. It's his personal mission to make sure everyone around him lightens up. When it comes to parties, he goes all out, drugs, alcohol. In fact, he's spent his life coming up with new brews and alcohols for people to try. He spends most of his time doing that, and yeah, drinking. Eliot drinks a lot, but he's what one would call a functional alcoholic. He can almost always be found with a drink in his hand, and someone in his bed.

He's flirty, and has a tongue made of silver. A way with words, he seems to know exactly what to say to get out of any situation he's in. In the same way, he knows exactly what to say to get people to like him, and trust him, and he'll do this with many, many people. Eliot likes to make connections, with anyone he can. Rarely do any of these connections go any deeper than skin deep, because as much as he makes friends and tries to have many people around him at any one time, he doesn't want anyone to know who he truly is. To see how he truly feels. Deep inside, no matter how much he boasts, he's insecure and terrified of being abandoned or forgotten, so he's loud and he acts out and he makes damn sure that no one will forget about him. And beneath all that, when he does let someone in, and he really gets to know them, he is loyal. Fiercely loyal and protective.

HISTORY
FAMILY: Father; Elorn
Mother; Otori
Siblings; SO MANY SIBLINGS
SIGNIFICANT OTHER: None
BIRTHPLACE: Telgar Hold (Cothold)

TW; Lots of Trauma

HISTORY: Eliot's parents were two very unextraordinary people. They lived in a cothold just outside of Telgar Hold. They were never very smart, or talented, but they wanted to successful. They couldn't get there themselves, but they thought that maybe if they had enough children, maybe one of them would be successful enough to pull them out of the hole they'd dug themselves.

So they started to have children, and they had children, and had children. Eliot was the second born, and he often found himself overwhelmed with siblings. None of the children they had were ever as successful as they wanted them to be as quickly as they wanted them to be, so in short order, each child was basically disregarded as unimportant for the next. This is when Eliot gained his complex and fear of being forgotten and abandoned in the sea of his siblings.

When he was five, a group of holdless attacked the cothold. Needing supplies themselves, the holdless stole much of the family's food and resources. Seeing the potential, they took the family's two oldest children as well. Eliot and his older brother were taken to the holdless camp. It wasn't anything like they'd expected. There were women and children there, all people exiled from their holds, not all of them bad people. They were treated well enough, and the two boys were set to work, learning how to fight. The holdless trained the boys up, put them to work as guards. They moved often, and they needed more trained men to guard the group. It was difficult, however, to find men willing to guard a group of holdless, as holdless people still held a great stigma.

It took time, but the two boys grew to be competent swordsmen. Eliot's brother was always better, however, and Eliot could never get over the sense of jealousy he felt. He started taking alcohol and adding different flavors to them. He had good taste, and other people clamored over his brews. People started requesting his alcohol, and with that, his popularity within the group started to grow, mending his wounded sense of pride.

One day, the group was out, looking for more cotholds to pillage. They were out in force, so when they stumbled upon a wild gold wher, intent upon ripping them apart, they were able to take her down. It wasn't without their own casualties, however. His brother was badly injured in the battle, though. They soon realized why the wher was so viciously attacking them when they stumbled upon her nest. Five eggs. A glittering queen egg among them.

At first, they couldn't decide what to do with them, until they realized how much they could sell wher eggs for. The queen egg alone would set them up for a long time. It was difficult work, transporting the eggs and their wounded, and they only got about halfway back to their camp before they realized something in horror.

The eggs were hatching.

They dropped the eggs and prepared to kill the beasts. They had hoped that the queen was the only large wher they would have to face. The first two eggs hatched. A blue and a green. The men killed the wherlets when they attacked. The green was vicious though, and put up quite the fight. They didn't realize it when the gold had hatched. With a snarl, she set upon them. Eliot knocked her off of his brother and the two of them went tumbling. He stabbed at her and she bit at him. He was sure that he was going to kill him, though, no matter how hard he fought, when he felt a mind fuse with his own. Mine. He barely heard that, however, because he could suddenly feel all of her pain. It stunned him enough that he didn't realize when she stopped attacking him, and started defending herself against the men now attacking her.

With a rage and a strength not totally his own, Eliot rose and began defending his queen. He held them off to the point where they all stopped and realized what had happened.

Eliot had impressed the queen.

His brother had impressed too, as had another of the raiders. They came to realize, that they hadn't the resources to care for three growing whers, queen included. So they made a deal with nearby Telgar Weyr. Three wherlings, gold included. The deal didn't get them as much as the eggs alone would have, but they realized when to cut their losses, and Eliot found himself in a new environment. He had grown to hate the holds and weyrs for casting these people out, and to find himself among them was difficult. Even Elisk was having trouble adjusting. Though she was bonded, she was a feral wher, and had trouble fitting in with the domestics. She thought herself better than them, and she didn't even want run, her disdain was so great.

It wasn't working out, so Eliot requested to transfer to Fort Weyr. A new start for the both of them.

BASICS

NAME: Elisk
BIRTHDATE Summer 2764
AGE: Three as of Summer 2764

CLUTCHING

CLUTCHING: YES
RUNS/FLIGHTS: 2

APPEARANCE
LENGTH: Sixteen
HEIGHT: Five Feet, Two Inches
COLOR: Gold
HEX CODE: f0de9c

FULL APPEARANCE: Elisk is not the largest of gold whers. In length, she's average, and she's downright short. She isn't built like a tank. She's more slender. If she were a human, she'd be called petite, with larger than average wings. When she was a hatching, she had trouble holding her wings up, so she formed callouses on them. Now she has the strength to hold them up, but it's easy to tell the trouble she's had in the past. Elisk is built more like a dragon than a traditional wher, but her wings are still too small for flight.

In coloration, Elisk is mostly a pale, milky gold. Her underbelly and toes are so pale it is nearly white and she has a darker gold stripe running down her back and encompassing her wings. She had rose gold spots speckling her legs and shoulders, flanks, and behind her eyes. On her light hide, the shimmering of her color is subtle in the sunlight. It's easier to see when she's running or when she's inside, but make no mistake, Elisk does sparkle.

PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY: If Eliot is a king, Elisk is his queen. She is utterly attached to him, steadfastly and wholly loyal to him. He is the only being she cares about. No one else matters in her eyes. She has made it blatantly obvious to him, however, that she never needed him in the first place. Every day she makes it clear that she is strong and independent and she bonded to him so that she wouldn't be killed. It does go deeper than that. Eliot is Elisk's soul mate, and she realized that the second she cracked her shell.

On the outside, Elisk is vain and superficial, narcissistic and snobby. She hides something deeper beneath that, however. The wher is great at observation, and picks up on things that a lot of people wouldn't. She's rational in crisis situations, and she's able to put aside her emotions and think with logic instead. She likes to say it's because she doesn't have emotions, and she makes sure to keep that front up. Those who know her know better, however. She isn't cruel. She's simply pragmatic, because she knows that's how she'll get things done.

The wher is smarter than people think, clever and extremely quick thinking. Though she can come up with solutions to problems she and Eliot have, sometimes she's a bit too rash and will settle on quick solutions that may not be long term or permanent ones. She comes off as harsh, but she is realistic, knowing what needs to be done. She keeps Eliot in check and he tempers her worst sides. They are truly the perfect team.
