FULL APPEARANCE: Peiko has little in the ways of curves or muscle. Overall, she's a bit scrawny, and certainly quite short, especially by Pernese standards. Some people think she is younger than she is simply due to her height, but her cute, rounded face only adds to this illusion. She hates it. She tends to dress in masculine clothing, wearing her ginger hair in a masculine cut. Her green eyes often match the angry expression on the rest of her face. She is relatively light skinned and has a significant amount of freckles over her face and body.
She speaks with a lisp, and her voice is shrill, loud, and overall annoying.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY: Despite the cuteness of her face and name, Peiko is the opposite of a cute person. Don’t call her cute! She’s scrappy, ready to fight at any moment. Constantly yelling, she is almost like a small, yappy dog. Annoying, and mostly bark...but with a bit of bite. She will fight anything and everything, but is more willing to yell than she is to fight. She is always fired up, always seeming angry, and is generally a hateful type. She has no impulse control, and is easily riled up by provocation. Her temper is legendary.
In reality, this hides her insecurity. She struggles with finding her identity, her place in the world. Despite being contrary and stubborn, she really has no idea who she is or what she wants. Any opinions she claims as her own are simply so that she can feel like she is someone. Overall, she struggles with identity, and masks this by making her personality as loud and angry as she can.
On the rare occasions when Peiko is not mad about something, or at least grumpy, she’s simply a complainer. She will find something to hate, and even if she’s not mad at YOU, she is definitely passionate about hating things. A defense mechanism, to avoid looking too closely at her insecurities…? Generally, however, she does not like anyone, and has no desire to be gentle or nice under any circumstances.

HISTORY: Peiko was born the only child to Vatrako and M'peir, two Telgar riders who took their duty very seriously. Despite being raised in the creche, Peiko was given quite a bit of attention from her parents, who were frequent visitors. All was fine in her family...until Peiko was 6. The once energetic, sunny child became broody and moody, something that quickly translated into anger. Suddenly, her parents were around less, as thread began to fall. Telgar hadn't been as involved in the war, so it was shocking when her parents suddenly became so...busy! She felt neglected, even though they always tried to make time for her, and never really grew out of her moody, angry phase. She took it as a personal insult that her parents were busy, something she never realized consciously but that bothers her to this day, no matter how minor.
In 2764, she became a candidate; a turn later, at 16, she Impressed to Tuncath. He was steady but stubborn, and they often clashed in personality. She was frustrated that she'd Impressed to such a stubborn, solemn dragon, but despite wanting to hate him, she couldn't help but love him. After graduating weyrlinghood, in 2766, she moved to Fort Weyr, hoping to escape all of her baggage around her family, and any awkwardness that remained. Tuncath often told her it was petty, but was willing to transfer regardless.
A turn after moving to Fort Weyr, golden Nornth ordered Benden bronzes murdered. Seeing those bronzeriders become dragonless...it was hard to see, as a fellow rider, even if they had been from Benden. Nornth was killed after her clutch hatched, but Peiko couldn't find much sympathy for her or her late rider, not after that flight.
Traditionalists took over Fort under Z'osh, and Peiko was pissed. Imagine, grounding her just due to her gender! Outrageous, with an emphasis on RAGE. She was glad when the traditionalists were overthrown, but still struggles to find her place in the weyr.

- Fall 2772: Tuncath and Gectusith collide when both bronzes go for the same clump of Thread. Tuncath's right wing is torn in several places by claws, though it's impossible to say whether it was his own or Tuncath's that actually did it (Moderate).
