Tiffaene is a very nurturing, kind and patient woman. She is the sort that almost comes off in a maternal manner. She is patient and observant, preferring to act when she has all the facts of a situation available rather than act rashly. When it comes to her livelihood, she is always giving all she can and making sure that success can come from her endeavors, a woman who will pull her own weight both competently and without complaint.
But this compassion can also blind her sometimes to making a hard choice when she knows its going to hurt someone else or cause them pains. While she does her best to make these calls, she will step back and often let her superior make the best call. She does not do this often but she does experience a bit of guilt if she has to be overly harsh or strict once she is behind closed doors.
Being a bit bullheaded when she feels she is right, sometimes can lead her into a disagreement with others, especially if her strong moral compass is tweaked. While she knows the time and place are important for such debates, sometimes her fire gets the better of her. She is also a bit sarcastic and snarky once she gets to know someone and the work mask is slipped off for the day.

HISTORY:
Tifa, or Tiffaene as she was born, was the only child of a pair of weyrfolk that worked as farmhands at Telgar Weyr. Despite the desire to have more children, their efforts would prove to be futile as it seemed that she was going to be their only child. But that was okay, because their daughter was a bright, social and kind little lass that had no issues making friends with other children. Her upbringing was not really unique in much of a way, she grew, she helped her parents with chores and led a basically typical life for someone born in her station.
But she longed for more and often talked to her childhood best friend about this, expressing her desire to leave Telgar and travel to Fort someday, as she had heard all about the glories of the pioneering weyr. But as she aged, she began to feel a sense of dread that this was all her life would ever be and she did not want to be a simple farmer.. she wanted to soar, to get out there and make a name for herself somehow.
One day when she was 15, her best friend came to her excited, saying he was going to be a candidate and she should strive to do the same. So she decided that she would try to become a candidate. Her parents rebuked this idea at first, not fond of the notion of their only child potentially putting herself in danger in the future and tried to convince her that she should just marry a nice lad when she grew, have a family and take over their tiny farm someday.
But she did not want that traditional life or even to think about such things made her feel trapped and restricted. While she enjoyed playing with and interacting with other children, the idea of being a housewife and parent made her skin crawl. She went back and forth with her parents for three years . At the age of 18, her parents came to her to say that they sold the small family farm and had decided to move to High Reaches, her mother wishing to open a small tavern there. This was the window that Tifa knew could lead her to do what she wanted and did just that after they arrived, going right up to the candidate master and applying to candidacy.
She stood for several hatchings and was passed up but she never let herself believe for a moment that she was going to age out, that she belonged to this life, that she was destined for it, even. Her time came when she stood at the Calamity's Fall clutch and a handsome blue hatched that marched right up to her and butted her firmly in the stomach.
" Tiffaene, I am hungry. Can we.. go now?"
Tiffaene was elated, not only because she had just impressed but it was to a color not traditionally associated with women and that amused her to a degree. Weyrlinghood was pretty typical and she graduated without issue and settled into her wing fairly easily.
