FULL APPEARANCE: Tall and slim looking somewhat unfinished as he's still filling out. Muscular by a youth in a sea hold sailing and fishing since he could walk. Has an easy smile. His clothes are rough but well made. his black hair is braided off his face at the sides with bits of ornate shells and small bits of metals woven into the braids, giving him somewhat roguish good looks.

PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY: If you asked his family about Kydor or Kai for short they would say 'he's a good hard worker' Middle child of the 4 kids his two older brothers are twins he was left to his own devices and only noticed when he was needed. His younger sister was doted on by both father and mother. He learned at an early age to fish sail and trade. He's independent and has a hard time asking for help or things he wants. Affable in company he only really relies on himself impressing a dragon will be a challenge to that independence.

Kydor takes risks and doesn't like relying on anyone but himself and that can, and has, land him trouble multiple times.

Used to being left to his own devices and managing himself he finds it uncomfortable sometimes to be under scrutiny. He wants more than anything to impress but hides it. He's good company and easy to talk to garnering confidences from his friends. He's loyal to a fault to anyone he deems worthy. He was stifled romantically in his conservative hold as his preferences went to either sex and his father wanted to pre arrange a marriage to form ties to a larger more profitable hold. He was happy to be searched and get away.

HISTORY:

Kydor was born on a bright spring day while his father was out fishing. Glad it wasn't twins again like her previous birth, she was already out of bed when he got home. Two years later she had her first and coveted daughter.

At first the household was happy and boisterous with Kydor being outgoing and full of mischief. By the time his brothers were 5 and old enough working around the small fisherhold, Kydor worked along with them. Jenachi, the sister was cosseted and held in the highest esteem by his mother and Kydor had to be more than perfect to get any attention. His father had the two twins to continue the line and Kydor was seen as superfluous by him and Kydor was taught his trade from his Uncle Cenedi.

Kydors independence and his refusal to rely on anyone for help got him in scrapes and tense situations, once even needing rescuing from the rocks as he sailed above his ability into strange currents. He took risks, often coming in from fishing right before a storm, not always without damage to his ship.

Kydor never intended to be searched, he always felt his destiny didn't lie in the hold of his birth, but maybe further out on the wider ocean. Maybe with a large trading hold across the sea. He always thought Dragons were out of reach, though secretly, he longed for the skies. Imagine his surprise when he was searched and taken to Igen where he was left standing, but now transferred to Semaca, he hopes for better luck.

Vettith may not be the brown of largest stature, but he is a particularly muscular one. He'll be able to compete with much larger dragons for strength, if nothing else. His hide is the color of milk chocolate, with tan "eyebrow" markings above his eyes and some of that color on the lower part of his face, giving him the appearance of a perpetual smile. There's a much paler sandy sideways hourglass on the front of his chest, the edges slightly blurred. His legs are the same color on the inside, and from the outsides starting halfway down the shins, though these darken to the tan color on his feet.

PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
Vettith is a very chipper, enthusiastic dragon. He flings himself into everything he does with a particular zeal, and nothing is ever done by half measures. He has a strong work ethic, but when he's told to relax he is just as gung-ho about doing that as he is everything else. His version of relaxing just happens to involve a lot of exercise—flying for fun, or making sure the entire Weyr sees him moving a particularly large log. He's a muscular dragon and very aware of how good he looks doing that sort of thing. He's also extremely fond of puns, most of them terrible, and works them into the majority of his conversations. He loves animals and fire lizards, and if he could he would keep all of the Weyr's pets to himself.

Though Vettith likes almost everyone he meets, any particular affection he gives is as complete as anything he does. This stronger affection is given only rarely to those other than his rider, because what if the ones he cares for don't regard him the same way? What if he's disposable, only of interest because someone wants to spend time with his rider? He can be rather insecure in this way, and rarely chases in Flights as a result.

His rider is the only one he tries to let see his insecurity. He knows he looks good, but what if people still don't like him? What if they don't like his jokes?
