D'enki has short, messy blond hair, usually with his fringe parted to the right to hide the scar on his left eyebrow. He's on the average side for height, with a slim build. His light brown eyes are slightly slanted, placed beneath slightly narrow brows. He may or may not have tried plucking them when he was younger and they never grew back right.
Clothing-wise, he wears the latest fashions when possible, though he's more the type to follow the crowd and often ends up behind the curve.

Friendly, social, and energetic, D'enki loves to hang out with others. He thrives on social settings and situations, becoming very sad and down when forced to be alone. Luckily, since bonding with his dragon, the severity has lessened in the lonely and downcast feelings he gets in those situations. He can be blunt and reckless at times, but is well-meaning, especially in how he encourages others to be themselves and do what they like. He's not above being petty or overreacting if he's annoyed enough.
D'enki is a flirt, chasing after girls (and later guys as well) and attempting to pass himself off as a smooth-talker. Overall he's really not very lucky. He can be a jokester like his dragon, teasing others with playful comments. While not very book-smart, he does have interests he knows a lot about, and knows many Harper tales and songs. On top of that, he likes to be fashionable and follows the latest trends as well as possible, spending many of his Marks on outfits direct from tailors and leather-crafters. Even Chajizumath is gifted with fashion accessories when he can find them large enough.
He doesn't do well in stressful situations at all, often outright panicking. He wouldn't do well and doesn't do well in positions of leadership.

Daitenki was born in a tiny cothold beholden to Telgar Weyr to a pair of farming parents. He had two siblings, a brother and sister, one born before and the other after respectively--making him the middle child. His parents didn't pay much attention to him, though weren't neglectful--they just gave him a lot of freedom. He didn't have the responsibility of his older brother, nor the doting attention of his younger sister. He wasn't resentful at all, but did get into some trouble as a child. Not so much in the way of getting into it with the wrong sort of people, he just got into innocent mischief.
At age eleven, he found a clutch of firelizard eggs while exploring with his friends, though he quickly learned that stealing eggs was a terrible idea. He has a scar on his eyebrow from the encounter, though is very lucky he didn't get off worse, but the egg he stole hatched two days later into a screaming little firelizard.
At fifteen he was Searched to Telgar, where he stood for a Turn and a half before bonding to his brown. The two got on immediately, enabling each other in both the best and worst ways. Weyrling training was a breeze, and though their first Threadfall was sobering, they managed well enough without getting seriously injured. The two were quickly branded as would-be cassanovas, with Chajizumath Chasing every dragon he could and D'enki trying to chase anyone who showed interest in him.
At age twenty-one, D'enki arranged for transfer to Fort. There wasn't any real reason, no conflicts with his Wingleaders or friends or vengeful lovers, he just wanted a change of scenery.
