PERSONALITY:
Despite his seemingly inexhaustible anger, Yurio is, in fact, capable of moments of empathy and compassion for others. He is able to sympathize with others in moments of great despair as he has known them himself and perhaps not yet recovered from them. He doesn't like to advertise the fact that he isn't quite the punk he wants everyone to think he is, but he's not completely shut off from the rest of the world either. When around people he is truly close to and trusts, he becomes a ray of sunshine brighter than any star in the sky. He doesn't feel in parts; his emotions are intense to an exhausting level.
What he lacks in impulse control he makes up for in sheer dedication to his craft. Dancing is Yurio's life and he strives to be the very best at it, wanting to make sure that everyone across Pern knows his name for generations to come. His age doesn't hold him back; his still is nearly unrivaled by even experienced dancers, but he's not perfect. He knows there's still room to improve and improve he will, spending countless hours practicing and perfecting until he's sure he's got it down.
Though talented, both naturally and through hard work, he is very insecure about himself and is plagued by much self-doubt. This fuels his drive to do well and to practice hard, though he never feels as though it's enough. His perseverance and self doubt often come to a head within him, sometimes as a whisper and sometimes as a roar. On the latter days it is difficult for him to push through, but he does if only so he can tell the doubters to piss off.
Yurio has a quirky, creative side that few ever get to see. He loves to express himself through dance, but more often than not it is his instructors who arrange his dances. It frustrates him to no end, but 'they know best' so he holds his tongue... slightly. When given free reign, his performances are bold, daring, and exciting, everything the traditionalists hate, but he couldn't care less. His creativity comes out in other ways as well. He draws as a hobby, and while his drawings aren't of a professional caliber, his designs are often fantastic in nature, making you wonder just what goes on in his mind.
He has a penchant for collecting shiny things even if they have no use to him. He'll just hoard them away to toy with and admire later in the security of his own room.
He loves felines of all kinds, even spotties, which will certainly backfire on him spectacularly at some point in his life.
