FULL APPEARANCE: Jysstas is not an overly tall woman, though she’s certainly not short. What she lacks in excess height, though, she makes up for in pure lean muscle mass.

PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY: Jysstas is a woman who tries to project confidence wherever she goes. She’ll get what she wants, and she knows it, or there will be hell to pay. Though intelligent, she’s plenty hot-headed and impulsive, with an impressive temper that isn’t particularly hard to trigger. She’s easily frustrated when she’s not getting her own way, and has a tendency to steamroll over other people when they don’t agree with her. She’s not unintelligent, though most of her smarts are devoted to various schemes with relatively minor consequences. Her smarts diminish with her temper, however, and the angrier she gets the less likely it is she’ll be able to formulate eloquent responses.

Despite all of this, though, she does have a soft side. She’s got a temper, and she’s not good at listening, and she’s selfish, but she does care. Jisto and Meowth hold a soft spot in her heart, though she’d never admit how much she really cares. She does have a code of honor, and isn’t afraid to call out bullshit when she sees it. There’s a surprising kindness to her when it matters. She can go from wanting to strangle someone to helping them out, no matter her opinions on that person. It’s hardly a fair fight if there’s something distracting them, right? She’d rather gain victories over people who actually put up a fight.

Now that she’s a candidate, she’s insistent she’ll impress a queen. After all, a strong, confident woman deserves a strong, confident queen… right?

BIRTHPLACE: Small Cothold
HISTORY: Jysstas was born in a small cothold to a farmer mother. Her father was a passing rider, who didn’t even stick around long enough to find out he’d gotten Jysstas’ mother pregnant. For a few turns after Jysstas’ birth, this was fine. However, her mother longed for more than the tiny cothold, and resented the fact that her child was what was keeping her in the cothold. Making up her mind, the woman left the cothold one day and never looked back.

The majority of the people living in the cothold were family to Jysstas’ mother, but they’d never approved of her choice to sleep with a rider and have his child. They took care of Jysstas, unwilling to let a child starve, but they didn’t pay her any mind, either. She was largely ignored by these so-called “family” members until she was at an age where she was old enough to apprentice in a craft. At that point, they decided they’d rather be rid of her, and told her to pick a craft to apprentice in.

One of her much older cousins, who had chosen to leave the cothold to find better work in a bigger hold, helped her with this. He wasn’t wanting to care for a child either, but he was kinder than many of her family members, and took her along nonetheless.

Young Jysstas didn’t know what she wanted in the slightest, and toyed with the idea of many crafts while her cousin was supporting her. This went on for quite a few turns, until she grew too old to delay in choosing a craft anymore. At this point, she ended up choosing tailorcraft, which is where she would meet Jisto. At about 14 turns of age, Jysstas was still deciding what kind of a person she wanted to be, but had long developed her short temper.
