FULL APPEARANCE: Ardena isn’t the tallest man ever, but he has some muscle mass to make up for it. He’s far from chiseled, though his muscles has some definition to them. There’s still some softness to his build, and places where there’s fat rather than defined muscle, but he’s in pretty decent shape. Notably, while he isn’t very wide, and doesn’t have broad shoulders, his hands are quite large, almost disproportionately so.
Most of his features are nothing overtly special. He’s rather pale, as most redheads tend to be, with rather plain brown eyes. His hair is long, but it’s a common enough shade of red to not stand out particularly much. He doesn’t dress in a standout way, either- while he cares for his clothes and takes care to not bet unkempt, he usually sticks to plain outfits and doesn’t try overly hard to look fancy. PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY: Ardena isn’t a particularly nice person. He doesn’t go out of his way to be inherently rude, but he’s not overly fond of people. He’s got a more cynical view of life, and is often annoyed by those who are more idealistic. In his opinion, those who would rather simply hope they get what they want instead of working for it are the worst of all. Why leave things up to chance?
While he doesn’t go out of his way to be rude, that doesn’t stop him from being blunt or snappish when aggravated. He does have a temper, and that can make him downright nasty if the wrong buttons are pushed. Often, this comes from his disdain of idealistic people, though often can be a result of things like his personal space being violated, or people who are particularly bad at what they’re doing. Essentially, while he normally treats people with the bare minimum of basic respect, if they annoy him, his temper will flare and he will say mean things.
He doesn’t believe in just letting things come to him. If he wants something, he’s damn well going to work for it, rather than just waiting around. In his candidacy, this means actively doing his best in chores and lessons, and extra study besides. While it’s not strictly necessary after several years of candidacy, he has no intention of stopping, either.
He isn’t the best around small children because of his personality, and will outright refuse to be responsible for one in any context unless there’s no other choice. He knows he doesn’t mesh well with kids, and would rather spare himself the annoyance and any kids the potential hurt that goes with his lack of a true filter. He’s better with pets, but still would rather not take care of any pets that aren’t largely self sufficient. Not that he’d intentionally hurt an animal, but he just doesn’t see the point in keeping a creature that won’t serve a purpose, at least for himself. To him, flits are the only real pet he’d ever want, since they can be trained to carry messages and things and don’t need a whole lot of extra care.
