Gale is a slightly overweight man of average height. He has shoulder length brown hair and stubble that is slowly growing into a beard and moustache. He does not have any notable scars that are visible and tends to wear colors such as purples and blues. He typically likes to wear slightly fancier clothes as well, but these clothes are still considered practical for working.

Gale is genuinely a friendly guy. He is typically one to lend a helping hand to those in need and has a calm, quiet disposition. Honestly, you're more likely to find him reading a scroll than engaging in socializing with other members of his squad. That is just the way Gale prefers it. He would have been great as a scholar. He enjoys the simple things in life and will often remain very calm, even in the face of fighting Thread. There isn't really a lot that can shake him.
However, arrogance is his biggest flaw. He is incredibly proud of being a wherhandler. Sure, his wher isn't a bronze or a gold and just so happens to have a mutation, but it doesn't matter to him. However, due to this, his arrogance can be seen as grating and annoying to others. He holds himself up high and mighty, often not wavering in how he speaks unless he is shaken to his core. He typically looks down on others who do not consider academics to be worth their time and, even at times, be judgmental towards the leader of the squad. This is just how Gale is, thinking he's better than everyone else.

If Gale had anything to say about it, he'd say he lived a pretty normal life, despite being born during the Interval War. He had two loving parents and he had friends in his small hold, despite his arrogant attitude in life. He was always a scholarly type, and enjoyed reading. That was why, when he turned eight, he decided to train as a scribe apprentice.
Honestly, Gale could have lived his entire life at his hold, enjoying his life and his studies. However, around the age of sixteen, a searchrider came to the hold and, low and behold, Gale was chosen to come to the weyr as a candidate. He was shocked, but he was sure that he would be back home eventually.
Except, he wasn't.
He spent four years at the weyr and slowly began to view it was his new home. Along with this, since he had spent a while not getting a dragon egg, to also become a wher candidate. This seemed to be a good decision, as, when he was twenty turns old, a wher egg would be slid to him.
This wher would be later known as Galsk and the two worked hard together. Admittedly, Galsk could be overwhelming at times for Gale, as he did not have any siblings growing up. Thankfully, they were a very good team.
Fortunately, they would not see any fighting in the war, as it would end shortly before Gale graduated. This did not mean there was peace in the world. They still had to fight Thread and, when the refugees came to Telgar Weyr, Gale was more than happy to assist them.
Gale lived in Telgar Weyr for around twenty-five turns before deciding he needed a fresh start. Due to his arrogance, a lot of his squadmates did not enjoy his company and he could feel the tension. However, where was he to go?
He ultimately decided to go to Semaca Weyr, a newer Weyr where he would likely be able to make some new friends.
