Her eyes are blue, judging by her father supposed to be a deeper blue but her blindness makes them seem a washed out tone of blue.
PERSONALITY

An adventurer at heart, Cerys wishes to see all the world can offer. Well… experience it all! She dislikes being tethered to one place, one person. She values her freedom and hates rules. Feeling that they confine her and don’t let her express who she truly is as a person.
Cerys is bad mouthed , pretty forsking badly. She takes after her father, swearing left right and center, especially infront of those with authority. She likes to test the limits, test the boundaries, see how far she can get away with her tricks
There is one thing that Cerys will never allow define her, her blindness. Having already adapted to life with it using a large wooden stick to find her way around places, she is rather proud of herself for doing so. Occasionally Cynerysk will lend Cerys her sight, although Cerys doesn’t allow herself to depend on her wher as much as she’d like, wanting to be independent. Only at times where it is truly needed , otherwise Cynerysk’s judgement is enough for say, clothes. Cerys is loud, sociable and brash. She has an enthusiasm for life, excited for all the hurdles and curveballs that may be thrown in her way. She allows herself to depend on friends and her garnet.
HISTORY
FAMILY:
Cyril - Father (Open Tie)
Emer - Mother
Cynsige - Paternal Grandfather (Desceased)
SIGNIFICANT OTHER:
BIRTHPLACE: Ista Hold
HISTORY:
What do you get when you mix a woman who is betrothed against her wishes and a man who gives her promises of freedom upon the unbounded seas? Well in this case, when Emer met Cyril, the two loved eachother so much that they had a baby girl together. A perfectly healthy daughter expect for the fact she was born blind. Cerys was raised until her 3 years by her mother, Emer, then handed to her father who was visiting Ista briefly before setting sail again. Cyril and Cerys then set off together on his so called "merchant" ship , The Midnight Queen.
A ship was no place for a child, Cyril heard those words over and over again through out Cerys' childhood. Father and daughter never paid mind to those who thought it unacceptable, instead Cerys adored life on the sea. The Midnight's sailors ensured that nothing would be a trip hazard for her, that she wouldn't be able to injure herself with anything.
Periodically, Cyril would take Cerys down to his cothold, sometimes for days or weeks on end, to spend time with his father Cynsige. Cerys' grandfather had been miner all his life, travelling up to the mines and back down to the cothold for a large part of his life. Having retired, Cynsige took care of Cerys, taking her for walks around the hold, teaching her customs, describing the world to her. Cerys grew to adore her grandfather, sometimes pleading Cyril to leave her longer at the cothold, simply to spend more time with him.
At age 10, Cerys was once again dropped off at Cynsige's house. Deciding that some fresh air would do them both some good, grandfather and grandaughter set out to one of their customary walks around the hold. Cerys had more or less memorised the set out of the hold and was able to walk on her own without aid from Cynsige. The sun fell quickly and dusk settled, around the outskirts of the hold a heavy sound caught both their attention's. There, a wild garnet wher spied them both deciding that Cynsige would make the better meal of the two. Alarmed, Cerys ran into the inner hold, screaming for help from the other holders. While other holders went to help Cynsige, other adults accompanied Cerys home and kept her company while her grandfather was saved.
Later than night, Cynsige came home the same. With a small wound and a garnet wher named Cynsk. Cerys was at first weary of Cynsk, not trusting of the creature who tried to bring harm to her grandfather. Neither wher nor child would trust each other for a long time.
Cerys learnt as the years passed to manage herself independently, opting for function over style , shorter hair and such... Aged 14 , Cerys longed for adventrure, something beyond the wooden beams of the ship. She wanted to feel the tree's bark, the current of a stream. It’s not that the sea was not fun enough for her, roaming a limited space becomes boring when weeks at sea turns into months at sea. But she endured it, waiting until the ship set down its anchor at port and armed with her wooden stick, she could spend some marks on whatever she’d like at the hold!
Tragedy stuck in 2775, the news reached The Midnight Queen quickly . Cynsige had passed away in his sleep , his wher Cynsk refused to leave the house of her ex handler and would not allow anyone near her. Threatening to go feral again. The news fell like a lead ballon in the ship, Cerys coped worse than Cyril. Holing herself up in her room, full of grief from the loss of her beloved grandfather. The ship set sail to the cothold, to honour the man.
There at the cothold, Cerys so blinded by loss ignored all warning of Cynsk and headed straight up a path she knew so well, heading through streets as she had done for so many years. And as tears swelled up in her eyes she headed into her grandfather’s home , expecting to hear the familiar voice , Cerys was met by the growl of the garnet she once hated. Both grieving over a loved one, the girl tried to back away from the wher not wanting to enrage it any further, tripping and falling , grazing her arm badly while doing so. Cynsk approached her and thrust her head into her arms, the blood smearing on the wher’s face. There, the bond was made.
Cynsk, now Cynerysk, helped the girl up and onto her back. Cerys felt a lot of the dislike for the wher dissolve as the bond between both solidified. They didn’t hate each other, no, not anymore. They lost something in common, someone they cared and loved for , together they would mourn together and overcome it.
Cyril was not exactly pleased with the addition of a wher to the crew. Cerys begged him, to let her on the Midnight Queen instead of having them stay and live in the cothold. She was given a month to settle Cynerysk in to the ship, and another to decide on what to do. The two thought hard on what to do, Cerys wanted adventure, somewhere to keep her on her toes while Cynerysk wanted somewhere to settle , where she could be sure things had an order to them. The answer was Semaca Weyr to them. Cyril had been told about it by sailors of other ships, more namely pirate ships. He recommended it to his daughter and wher.
The Midnight Queen took sail to a large port where Cerys and Cynerysk boarded a pirate ship down south. Cyril bade farewell to his only daughter, promising to visit as soon as they could. He entrusted Cynerysk the task of taking care of Cerys .Soon they arrrived at Semaca Weyr, a new home for the garnet pair. Any pair of hands was needed there and both were excited to getting to work as soon as they could. And with that, the pair settled in into Semaca Weyr.
