FULL APPEARANCE: Zia has a very slim appearance, no hints of muscles or the like. She tends to wear more neutral colors, mostly greys in her outfit. She has long red hair that goes down to her midback that she tends to keep in a ponytail. Before the incident, she had brown eyes. However, afterwards, her face has burn scars on the right side and she is blind in her right eye. She tends to keep her eye covered by an eyepatch.

Zia tends to be a very quiet and meek person. She finds it incredibly hard to speak her mind and, due to this, tends to feel like her opinions don't matter. Due to this, she won't often speak her mind, even if it involves something she opposes. She will follow the plan, even though she may oppose it and may have thought of a better solution to the situation.
She also believes she is scary to look at due to the scar on her face. She often speaks to people with the right side of her face facing away from the other or covered up by her hair. She hates that she hadn't paid attention and got injured as a result during Threadfall. She often wishes she had never been 'so stupid' and wishes she could turn back time to make sure she never got scarred. While she is rather quiet, she has a love of taking care of small animals. If she had not decided to become a candidate, it was likely she would have become a beasthealer. She has a gentle and friendly voice, wanting to make others around her feel comfortable. She also enjoys flowers, often picking some to give to her friends or wingmates.

Zia was born the middle of four children, born to two dragon riders. She tended to be less confident than her siblings, often keeping to herself. Even at a young age, though, she knew she wanted to follow in her parents' footsteps, to become a dragonrider. She didn't really have a desire for any other potential career paths and decided that, if she aged out of being a dragonrider, she could easily become a wherhandler. When she became of age, she happily became a candidate.
She was always on top of her lessons, beaming happily every time she had class. She was happy to be there, to potentially become a dragonrider and eventually, her dream came true. In the Fall of 2769, she stood with her fellow candidates on the sands and was immensely happy when a large brown hatchling walked over to her. This was her dragon! Molossth, as she would come to find out, was a very friendly, empathetic dragon. The two became instantly close, with Zia enjoying her time and bond with the brown dragon.
However, not everything good lasts. Shortly after they graduated, they were ready to fight Thread. Everything was going well, the two getting rid of Thread with the rest of their wing. However, it happened.
Zia doesn't remember much. All she felt was a searing pain on the side of her face and her and Molossth falling to the ground. When she awoke, she was freaking out when she could only see out of one eye. She had been scored by some burning Thread and as a result, lost sight in her right eye. She was horrified and began to blame herself for her injury.
She should have been more careful!
Zia.. changed after that. She went out of her way to avoid eye contact with others, keeping her injured side hidden from others. She no longer felt comfortable being in Ista Weyr. Even though no one talked about it, she felt ashamed that she had been so careless from fighting Thread. What if she had caused someone to die from Threadfall as a result?
That was why, with a heavy heart, she chose to transfer to High Reaches Weyr. She did not tell her siblings as to why she decided to transfer. This was something she felt she had to do, to recover as a result of what happened to her. Molossth supported her in this. He did not want Zia to feel uncomfortable in her own weyr and he felt High Reaches would be a good place for her to recover and feel happier.
