"I want adventure in the great wide somewhere,
I want it more than I can tell.
And for once it might be grand to have someone understand
I want so much more than they have planned..."

FULL APPEARANCE: Belle is a fairly small young woman and quite slender. She doesn't quite look so small as to be frail and fragile but she certainly doesn't look like she could physically take too many hits. She has enough of a force of presence and hasn't necessarily had to explore such things to know for sure. She walks with a bit of grace even when weaving about with her mind elsewhere or even engaged mostly in the reading of a book or scroll. Belle likes to dress nicely though on the simple end of things. Up until her joining with Bellesk she mostly wore simple but pretty dresses having now found that pants tend to be a bit easier to work in. Even so she still tends to like wearing simple dresses whenever prudent, and also loves to dress up further if the opportunity arises.
Her face is soft and gentle, warm brown eyes that hold an often far off seeming to them as if her mind were far from where her body resided. Her hair is long and deep brown. It's typically well kept, brushed and tied back in a simply ponytail at her back. Occasionally she likes to do more for her appearance but more often than not just out of her face is enough. Belle is a happy enough being and smiles typically come easy to her.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY: Belle is a very sweet and fairly quiet soul. She doesn't always have a whole lot to say... That is unless you get her on the topic of her favorite harper's story... Then it is all one can do to get her to stop talking. She's very polite and quite friendly but also does have a bit of a more fiery side when she feels that what is important to her is being threatened.
Belle rarely seeks out the company of others and finds that she'd much rather be somewhere by herself lost in some story or other. Belle has a bit of a wandering nature. Rarely is she content to just do one thing and she finds herself getting bored and even a bit anxious if things stay stagnant too long. She has a fairly non committal view of things moving from one thing or even person to the next. She always seems to be looking for that next thing or adventure. Now naturally most of the adventures she's interested in are found in scrolls and tomes already written, but still she had interest in discovering and writing her own.
Belle is a bit of a flighty personality and finds it difficult to make very solid connections to people preferring to keep them at a polite arm's distance. Perhaps a similar fear to commitment? A lack in accepting learning of social skills? Who knows... She also tends to over romanticize many things so truly finding what she thinks she is looking for proves to be quite the challenge much of the time.
A love of animals is a strong attribute for Belle. For much of her life she has had a Runner or two that helped out with some of the heavier work her father was engaged in. Her favorite by far was an older Runner by the name of Phillipe, but she tends to love any animal she comes into contact with.
HISTORY
FAMILY: Father: Maurice (Self proclaimed inventor)
SIGNIFICANT OTHER: None
BIRTHPLACE: Small Cothold near Fort Hold
HISTORY: Belle was born in a small Cothold not too far from Fort Hold. She lived with her father, Maurice, who prided himself to be quite the inventor... It did seem that he and Belle were the only ones who prided him as such. The rest of the people seemed to view him as a fairly odd, harmless enough, individual but let him go about his business unhindered. Belle never knew her mother and her father was not inclined to talk about her much. But all in all she had a decent upbringing. Her father was skilled with his hands so he did manage to provide enough for them to get by until she was old enough to help out.
Life was well enough though even as a young woman she felt the draw to more. As she grew up, she found herself absolutely enamored with the tales weaved and told by the Harpers. More and more she felt herself drawn to this craft much more than any of the others around but there wasn't really an opportunity where she was. There was one who lived in her community that she spent ample time with during her younger years, and it was she who suggested that Belle pursue this study. So with her father's blessing she would do just that, moving in her 16th turn to Fort Weyr to study the Harper craft.
This only lasted about a year, however, as her eyes and mind turned to another craft so to speak. Belle didn't make friends easily, not really... She preferred to keep everyone at arm's length if possible, but there was one young Wher Handler that had captivated her attention and friendship enough to even draw her away from her love of books and stories. He was an adventurous sort and told her many stories, some true and some maybe a tad bit embellished, about his triumphs with his Wher. Curiosity stirred within her and the more time she spent around him and his bonded, the more she wondered if this path held something for her.
So it was that only a turn later, she decided to try for herself and stepped into candidacy to perhaps try her hand at this life. And as fate would have it, there was a partner to be found for her. From a clutch of the lovely Ferorask, Belle found her newest love. A beautiful little baby green Wher... Curious, smart... Maybe a little lazy but Belle could work with that. She had found a kindred spirit in this being and a new chapter would be discovered.
The last two turns have been a whirlwind both of learning and of growing with her lovely partner. Every day different to the last and yet a routine that sometimes just killed Belle was also a part of life. Only time will tell where this new path leads but so far so good.
