FULL APPEARANCE:
Rainbow is a really soft looking person. Their strawberry blonde hair contrasts against their pale skin. They have soft cheeks with a more triangular chin and are generally skinny everywhere else. They blush really easily. They are quite androgynous overall but still retain a slight masculine quality to their body shape.
They like wearing bright colored clothes, but a staple of their wardrobe is their leather jacket. Light shirts, boots or sandles, pants or shorts, whatever! It's whatever's nice and comfy to wear.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
Rainbow is a very fun and flamboyant kind of person with a posh twist. They have a strong sense of dignity and flair while still retaining onto a sense of childlike wonder and goofiness. They live for anything creative- especially punny wordplay and music- and probably would have been a Harper if not for their poor attention span. However, they are still quite clever. While good at talking, Rainbow doesn't have much charm to their name. They tend to do things because they think its funny, regardless of how the action itself may affect others.
At their core, they are a selfless caregiver and a good problem solver, doing anything to protect anyone they call 'friend'. Sometimes they are a little too selfless and will work to the bone if it means that another is happy and/or safe. This 'working to the bone' comes from a need to prove their own work as they feel that others only see them as a joke, a very small sense of narcissism sprouts from this as they have to act a little superior to back this up. They have very little self-esteem.
HISTORY
FAMILY: Journeyman Harper Raithe (father, alive), Journeyman Healer Anbowi (mother, alive)
SIGNIFICANT OTHER: N/A
BIRTHPLACE: Fort Hold
HISTORY:
Rainbow lived a charmed life, no doubt. Growing up at Fort Hold, the boy found himself walking the halls of the Healer and Harper Halls more often than not. His parents both wanted them to join their own respective crafts, but Rainbow was better suited to keep his head in the clouds, far above the rules and structure of craft work. His mother taught him to care for others while his father taught him respect for the arts, and Rainbow flourished.
As he aged, Rainbow disregarded the idea of gender. Who really cared about that stuff, anyway? It was just a box to stuff them in, they needed to float around. Time kept moving along and they grew too big for their stuffy Hold, they needed to see the world! They needed to be in a larger space with more to do. So, they upped and left for the Weyr when they were 18, packing up their clothes and a few select belongings (like their parasol) and arriving as soon as possible. They constantly sent letters back and forth between the Weyr and the Hold, namely to his parents to give them every update imaginable.
With no craft to their name, Rainbow was... bored, for a lack of a better word, lost for a second. They picked up a job in the dining hall as a cook, but that only took up so much of their time. There wasn't much of anything they wanted to do, no one to make an effort to go see, although they did make a few friends once arriving. Bored of doing essentially nothing, Rainbow began to stand as a candidate. Classes? Boring. Homework? Boring. The real excitement came with Touchings and Hatchings they attended, the most exciting of them being the Hatching where they Impressed to Rasuneth. A cheery Rainbow saw the rainbow eyes of Rasuneth, hearing his voice talking in his head, and they knew that that pretty blue was theirs. Four years later, the strawberry blonde was still as cheerful knowing that Rasuneth was theirs. Going to Hatchings was still fun, except when death or pain came to the sands, but they were never as fun as they were when they were a candidate.
Hearing about the fires at the Hold, knowing that people came to the Weyr to get away from all that... they thought that maybe their parents would be there. But, like some of the more stubborn holders, they stayed. Helped out. Their mother aided in healing those who got burnt and their father stuck around and helped in any way he could manage. Glad to know they were not hurt in the physical sense, Rainbow continued to truck on at Fort with a smile on their face.
