FULL APPEARANCE: Miilo stands about average for someone assigned female at birth, perhaps a little taller. Her build is slender, hiding lean muscle. She does not look very intimidating in body shape alone, but her form hides surprising strength and a skill at sparring. Black-rimmed glasses rest on the bridge of her button-like nose, sitting in front of vibrant blue eyes. She can see well enough with her spectacles, but without them she does struggle a bit. Her brown hair hangs just below her shoulders, often slightly tousled but neat enough to not cause her any problems. She wears simple, neutral colors and practical clothing. You won't catch her DEAD in a skirt.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY: For the most part, Miilo is friendly enough--she doesn’t really like people as a whole, but she can be friendly, even cheerful. She adores her father, even if he can embarrass her. She’s a bit quirky, unafraid to be a bit weird or break social norms. Overall, she is a creative type, pairing a witty nature with street smarts.
Her baseline is usually pleasant, but she takes no shards. If you mess with her, you WILL regret it. She hates being talked down to above all else, and isn’t afraid of a fight. She rarely backs down, and can be extremely stubborn, especially in arguments. Miilo is the type to dig her heels in just to be difficult, a contrary sort to the end. She’s a bit of a punk, with a rebellious nature, but she knows when to bite her tongue...sometimes. Sometimes she can’t help but talk back to others, and certainly is spiteful enough to get revenge.
Even in daily interactions, however, Miilo is a force to be reckoned with. Whether you are friend or enemy, be prepared to inevitably clash. She’s all rough edges and friction, and even the ones she loves aren’t safe from her tumultuous, mercurial moods. Her relationships are intense and passionate, but with bumps that can border unhealthy.

HISTORY: Miilo was born at Fort Hold to Ilona and Misun--but she doesn't remember her mother at all. When she was still a baby, Ilona got sick and passed away. As a result, her dad spoiled and protected her when she was growing up. They were always very close, and Misun taught Miilo how to fight and protect herself from a young age. Miilo had little understanding of the politics of the hold in her youth, but did recognize that Misun's position afforded them some privilege.
Not everyone liked Misun, especially as Evander's reign grew more and more contended. When Miilo was 9, a turn before the rebellion, one of the holdbrats around her age had a few choice words about her father. Miilo did what any respectable girl would do under these circumstances: she fought him. While most disliked the fact that she beat the boy up, Misun was very proud of his daughter.
When Miilo was 10, the rebellion occurred. She wasn't really sure what was going on, and in the chaos, Misun was injured. They ran away to Fort Weyr, leaving their old lives behind. She adjusted well to life at the weyr, though sometimes she missed the home she was born at. Misun explained the situation for her, and she couldn't help but feel a mixture of melancholy, hurt, and rage.
At 15, she became a dragon candidate. She enjoyed whers, but there was no harm in becoming a dragon candidate, though she waited patiently for the honor of becoming a dual candidate. On that birthday, her father gave her a firelizard egg, hatching into a garnet that she named "Black." Two turns later, she became a dual candidate, willing to wait and see what happened.
Fort Weyr was not the calm, peaceful home that Misun had hoped for, but it quickly stole Miilo's heart. Between egg theft and Z'osh's coup, it was hardly a safe or stable home, but she grew to love it nonetheless.
