FULL APPEARANCE:
Due to his above average height and lack of bulky muscle mass, B'ro manages to look a little like a spindly tree. He's plenty strong, though, he just doesn't favor work that would dramatically increase his muscle mass. B'ro has medium length, voluminous blond hair that seems to stick out in every direction. He often wears it in a ponytail or uses a headband to keep it under control. He takes good care of his hair, it just simply refuses to be tamed.

Age and a generally cheerful disposition have caused smile lines to begin forming at the corners of his mouth, and they'll surely get more prominent with time since B'ro is often times grinning or laughing. Two noticeable scars mar his face; one on the right side of his forehead that reaches the middle of his eyebrow, and one on his chin from a nasty fall. B'ro doesn't have many fancy clothing, nor does he really favor it. He's usually wearing comfortable hand-me-downs from his family, including an old flight jacket from his father that's just a tiny bit too big for him.

B'ro is many things, but a pessimistic isn't one of them. He has a near constant smile plastered on his face, ranging from small and kind to an outright grin. He's downright jovial on top of being rather witty. He's always joking with people, whether he's close with them or not. However, those he IS close to have the added benefit of his playful teasing to deal with.

On the other side of things, B'ro isn't the brightest person, nor the most socially adept. He can be excessively loud at times, invade personal space, and is hard to dissuade when he sets his mind to something. This most commonly manifests in his unbiased desire to help others. He can end up putting himself in danger to help, or throw caution to the wind and act without thinking. With his dragon at his side, he has a stronger voice of reason to think first, but he still has his moments.

HISTORY:
Oboro was born into a medium sized family at Fort Weyr. With his father being a dragonrider, his mother took most of the responsibility raising him and his siblings. He proved to be a bit of a problem child, getting under his mother's feet and sustaining many minor injuries in his youth. He grew into a young teen that, while out of the way generally, was no more careful. Even into the early years of his candidacy, he found himself with scrapes, scratches, and bruises more often than not. One incident in particular, which involved him rescuing a trapped kitten, caused him to injure his forehead on a sharp piece of rock. Luckily the wound was only skin deep, and only left him with a scar.

In his later teens, he found himself befriending a gloomy boy named Shouta. Pestering him began to take up some of the time he would usually be annoying his other fellow candidates. But, for whatever reason, Shouta put up with him and let him stick around. It meant more to Oboro more than he ever would admit. His friend ended up impressing first, and transferring to Semaca. Oboro followed, if only because he wanted to stay with his friend and also felt his odds at Fort weren't favorable.

Two turns later at 24, standing for several more clutches, Oboro found himself face to face with Sylth. Sylth, who impressed to him! A cheerful, reasonable blue that helped him balance out his reckless habits throughout weyrlinghood. Though, he never did fully bury them. His impression also had him eliding his name, just like his father. Not long after, there was chaos on the sands as Nuuth rejected her children. A younger B'ro would have mouthed off to her, but the dragons of Semaca did a much better job than he could have. It left a sour taste in his mouth, and he hoped that each and every one of the dragons wouldn't be burdened by the memories their riders had of the incident.

Misfortune continued into 2771, with spotties attacking a new weyrling class, a coup at Fort, and the subsequent banishing of former weyrleader Z'osh to Semaca. He didn't if their alliance with pirates was a good or bad thing yet, but so far they hadn't caused any issues. One thing was certain, Semaca wasn't lacking in excitement, and B'ro was content with the ups and downs of the southern Weyr.

A bright, peppy blue. Sylth is on the larger end, and fairly average in shape. It is clear he is built to be a flier, and he is utterly awkward on the ground. This dragon cannot get in the air fast enough in the hopes no one will notice how outright awkward he is when he has to walk. Just... limbs all over and lots of tripping. It's great. He is a swirl and mix of dark blues all across his hide, with outright neon shooting over his wings and fingers. There's streaks under his eyes and feather-shaped swirls down his back, accented with bright, bold blue swathes of color and dots.

Chin up! Sylth is an optimistic dragon, with a realistic outlook on life. Sure, everything can't be solved with sunshine and rainbows, but wearing yourself down does not good. He is a dragon who does not let a setback or mistake change his opinion of the world. He has a knack for giving uplifting advice at the right moment, but he knows not to set his sights too lofty. He experiences things to grow from them, and does not hurt others even accidentally. He believes that there is no use in betting on sinking ships. The world will keep on turning no matter where he lands, so he figures you might as well be running when your feet hit the sand.

To his rider, Sylth is a wealth of support and advice. Chin up, don't bet on sinking ships because you've got to be more grand! He is not going to tell them to go chase the most impossible dreams, but he will make sure that they don't get too discouraged by their failures. Go to war. Fight more. Your dreams thrive by competition! He will not flinch at his duty or conflict, and he is not at all indecisive. He sees life as something to be lived and to be experienced, and enjoyed! You've got the means to live, and it needs merely to be found.
