FULL APPEARANCE: The first thing one notices about Keiraly is how tall she is. She towers over many cisgender woman, standing at 6'5" with a muscular build. Wide shoulders and hips are paired with a natural propensity to build muscle easily. The fact that she works at maintaining her physique only contributes to this. She tends to wear practical clothing, preferring her riding leathers, and simple ones at that, though she often accentuates typical outfits with a bit of sensible jewelry. A small chain bracelet, perhaps, or a stone pendant, or her personal favorite, a single earring hanging off one of her ears. Generally, she enjoys neutral hues, though she might include a subtle olive green or a ruddier hue of red.
Keiraly has a charming smile, complete with dimples and inviting, upwards-tilted eyes. Her eyes are a soft, muted hazel in color, with thick brows over them in a subtle arch. Her face is round in shape with a rectangular hairline. She tends to keep her hair cropped short; it is black and straight, albeit with longer bangs and a bit of a tousled look. Her skin is medium in tone.
"Round face shape with rectangular hairline, Black short straight hair with longer bangs, Single hanging earring, Dimples, Warm-Medium Bright Skin tone, Thick brows, Narrow shaped eyes tilted upwards with a shallow mid set eyelid, Hazel eyes." - Mistywren description
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY: Although Keiraly is no longer the rebellious youth she once was, she still pushes back if she doesn't agree with a rule. She will do her duty, but she isn't afraid to question things, even if it's an order from her superior. If it is time sensitive, she'll complete a task and ask questions later, unless she finds it truly against her values; if it is not time sensitive, she'll ask questions first, really wanting to understand the motivation behind it. If she doesn't agree with it, she will challenge others. This often impacts personal relationships, as if she doesn't agree with a decision, she will push back. She always has an opinion, after all, and she thinks she knows best. Even personal decisions that have nothing to do with her--such as a loved one dating someone she disapproves of, or choosing a craft that she doesn't think suits them--will often be challenged, which tends to result in friction.
Similarly, she is quick to tell people when they are doing something wrong, either by chiding/scolding them or by simply telling them. Naturally, she isn't always correct, and doesn't always know best--as she takes this approach with those who are more experienced than her as well. She has a tendency to be rather blunt, although she simply calls it honesty. She isn't afraid to tell the hard truths, but will often tell them in a way entirely devoid of tact. Similarly, she tends to get straight to the point.
That's not to say she can't be gentle when she wants to be. She is kind in deed, even if a bit teasing or brusque in word. She is good with children of any age or species, and treats them with a softness most others never see. Anyone who can't take her teasing or roughness sees this softness as well, though perhaps a bit on the condescending side. To those who can take it, she tends to be teasing, with a sarcastic sense of humor that tends to jab playfully at others, though she lays off when she discovers an actual insecurity. Despite this, she comes across as a rough woman, the sort who boasts about drinking you under the table and actually does so, the sort who isn't afraid to get dirty, the sort who enjoys being active and athletic at all times.
In terms of priorities, Keiraly values her family beyond all else, which includes her found family, the friends she was raised alongside. Of course, her three children are cherished and loved, though she has no qualms about setting the record straight when they mess up. She is extremely protective, especially of her family and her weyr, and has a strong loyal streak.

BIRTHPLACE: High Reaches
HISTORY: Keiraly was born in Early Winter of 2728 to a pair of dragonriders, the result of flightlust. She was raised in the creche of High Reaches. Her parents were entirely uninvolved. If she ever knew who her parents were, she had no interest in knowing them, and they faded from her mind. She always knew that she might have half-siblings, but was more interested in her found family.
After all, there were other weyrbrats in the creche, and she grew close to the ones near her age, that she was raised with. She has several close friends, to this day, from her childhood.
Keiraly was young when Golre took over High Reaches; she doesn’t remember a time before Golre. She became a candidate in 2743, enduring the treatment that candidates received only out of a determination to Impress. Young Keiraly was determined to prove her worth, to make something of herself. A natural rebel paired with youthful ambition, she was determined, at first, to Impress gold, if for no other reason than to overthrow Golre. Only a gold could push out another gold, after all; only a gold could command non-gold dragons. She had no interest in the color hierarchy; she only had interest in overthrowing ‘the man,’ who happened to actually be an awful person. She resented Golre, though this was partially just due to being such a rebellious and angsty teenager.
In 2745, at 17, she Impressed. Not to a gold, but to a blue. She had no problem with this, of course, beyond the perception that she wouldn’t be able to do much in pushing out Golre. She settled into her role as a bluerider, but hated being dismissed and demeaned. She deserved all the recognition and prestige of any rider. Had she not been at High Reaches, she would have had a better life. Of course, there was the tiny problem of Sarmith also having a very obvious mutation. A frilled ridge that not only drew attention, but also required specialized straps and saddles. She held her head high through it all, ignoring anyone who might view her differently from a metallic rider. She knew her worth, even if people looked down on blue and green riders.
After weyrlinghood, she joined the fighting forces of the weyr, hating every moment of the war but doing her duty. It did not occur to her to leave, as she still held loyalty to her weyr, even if Golre was in charge. She stuck it out, beyond occasionally causing waves or pushing back. In 2751, her first child was born, Mirly. A child born of flightlust, but one treasured nonetheless. Despite her role, and her ability to have no involvement, she cared deeply for her child, finding that there was a nurturing nature to her. She didn’t care who the father was, and each child would have a different father, but Keiraly raised her three children as if they were full siblings, caring deeply for each.
She continued to fight in the war until 2755, when armistice was declared. Relieved, she let herself relax, even though Golre continued to keep High Reaches unpleasant. Her second child was born a turn later, in 2756. Mirly would be the responsible one, looking after her siblings in the creche, despite her mother’s continued involvement. Keiraly didn’t move, in part due to loyalty, but in part due to her children.
In 2761, Golre reignited war, but shortly after, she was killed. Keiraly felt relief; finally, her children could live in a safe weyr, regardless of who they were or how they impressed. Her youngest child was born a turn later–her “anti-Golre” baby, who would never know the trials and tribulations caused by the late goldrider.
Over the next ten or so turns, she remained loyal to her home, feeling, for the first time, a sense of pride in what HRW was. Chromatics could be in charge and no one was oppressed. Even when problems surfaced–from stolen eggs to revealed crime rings to Aldoeith–she remained positive about her home.
