FULL APPEARANCE: Sparrow is relatively tall for someone who is AFAB. They stand a few inches above 6'3", with a slender, wiry build. They have tanned skin, a medium-light shade, with rich brown eyes and auburn hair. They keep their hair cropped short, as they can't be bothered dealing with it, and it's often a bit of a mess. They do cut it themselves, and no, they don't really care that it looks like a mess. Notably, their face and body are riddled with scars, from various encounters with trouble.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY: Sparrow's most notable trait is the fact that they're a forsking idiot. They're really stupid, lacking common sense AND knowledge, which is paired with a gung ho, impulsive attitude. They don't know where they're going, or how to get there, but they sure are headed in a direction! They are a bit rough-and-tumble, in a way, due to their impulsivity and desire to roll with the punches. They think that they are unlucky, but in truth, they just make really bad decisions...because they're so stupid and rush into things. They often find themselves in the midst of problems and trouble of all sorts.
Anyways, what's a consequence? Sparrow seems oblivious to the idea that they should feel things like shame. They don't really seem to mind anything, and their carefree nature seems to come at a cost of not giving a shit about consequences. They care a lot about their interests, their people, and their dragon, but they don't really care about consequences if they don't impact these. However, if something DOES impact one of these, they WILL be dramatic and intense about it. And they will make it everyone else's problem that they're being dramatic. Naturally, crushes are handled similarly. If they have a crush, it WILL feel like life or death to them. It doesn't help that everyone is hot and they're a useless bisexual who WILL fall in "love" with you in two days, if given the chance.
They are wholesome and sweet, with a friendly attitude and the belief in giving everyone the benefit of the doubt. However, they are also egocentric, tending to forget about needs and desires other than their own. They aren't purposefully selfish, they just tend to forget that other people have needs, and that these needs are also important. They are often driven more by their own desires than by anything even resembling altruism, despite being a socially motivated and friendly sort. However, they do have a sense of duty, in certain circumstances--at least, more than their dragon, which allows them to balance Irabeth...slightly.

BIRTHPLACE: Igen Hold (Trader Caravan in Igen's territory)
HISTORY: Sparrow was the last child born to a large family that valued the concept of familial ties, and were overall rather close. Despite the fact that Sparrow's parents traveled throughout Igen's territory for trade, the family made an extended stop at Igen Hold for Sparrow's birth, before moving on when the infant was a few weeks old.
Sparrow was never really close to any of their family members in particular, other than a strong loyalty to their family as a concept. They care a lot about family, but they don't really know their family, and they often neglect to think about their family. They don't have a favored sibling, or any confidants, they just care about family because that's What You Do in Sparrow's family. That isn't to say they didn't get along with their siblings and parents, just mostly on a superficial level.
Throughout their childhood, Sparrow was "accident prone," meaning that they put themselves in situations where they often got injured. They would climb the largest trees (and fall), scale cliffsides and rock formations (and fall), try to ride the angriest runnerbeast (and
When Sparrow was 15, at a normal circuit through Igen's territory, the family stopped at Igen Hold. A rider, currently there on search, ended up searching Sparrow and 2 of their 5 siblings. Naturally, the family was exceptionally proud, and promised to visit the weyrbound youths frequently. They kept their promise.
Around this time, Sparrow grew a bit closer to the two searched siblings, Merrow and Pamyna. Pamyna, being 10 turns older than Sparrow and 7 than Merrow, took a more parental role, looking after Merrow and Sparrow, though it seemed that Sparrow needed more "looking out for" than Merrow. Merrow would Impress within her first turn at Igen Weyr, while Sparrow Impressed in two, in Spring of 2770. (Unfortunately, Sparrow's dragon did not add much sense to the pair.) Upon graduating weyrlinghood, both Merrow and Sparrow were given flit eggs. When theirs hatched, Sparrow exclaimed, "You're a Blue Baby!" and named him Blue Baby, because, of course, it just made sense.
Pamyna would eventually age out, and in early 2775, the siblings decided it was time to move to another Weyr. After all, their family no longer needed to visit them--the two riders could easily visit the family. So why stay within Igen's territory, which was boring, and the place that Sparrow had always lived? Sparrow pushed enough that their siblings agreed to move to High Reaches. As a new transfer, Sparrow has jumped into the social scene with energy, if nothing else, currently excited by the novelty of the new place.
