FULL APPEARANCE:
Anphiel is an average woman, with chocolate brown slightly curly hair that she keeps a manageable length and spearmint green eyes. She is of a slender build and average height and tends to spend a lot of time outdoors which leads to her having a slight tannish hue to her skin, especially since moving to Semaca's warmer climate.
She dresses simply, in browns or off-whites, not really one for flashy colors aside from the one dress she owns for gathers. She prefers the practical shirt and pants attire, finding it gets in the way of her daily routine and exercise a lot less than a dress would. Her facial structure is a softer feminine and she rarely smiles but when she does, its more evident that she does have dimples.

Anphiel presents herself with a great deal more confidence than she actually has, will not hesitate to rub another's nose in their mistakes, gloating over it like some kind of weird prize. Because this means she won and they didn't and that is what was important. Turns of non impression at her former home have left her even more bitter when she sees someone else impress what she feels should have been hers by right. Jealousy and resentment swirl in her like an angry storm and typically this gets directed at others, and has left her seeming a less than easy person to be around. Generally an unpleasant person, its rare for someone to see the insecure woman that lurks beneath the muddied and angry waters that is Anphiel.
She struggles with long standing insecurities of feeling like she is not good enough and this also fuels her to not hesitate to step on the backs of others to get ahead in her life. Her struggles with her orientation over the years also can lead her into a fits of self loathing which she combats by lashing out at others, even those that may try to comfort or support her. While she craves acceptance, she also refuses to let her vulnerabilities show, feeling that if she did, someone could really hurt her and she refuses to put herself in that position ever again, scars of rejection run deep in her.
While she has and may never conquer her own feelings of inadequacy, she is too stubborn to quit and determined to achieve that which she desires. This is a woman who is very tenacious in everything she does and is highly competitive and strives to be on top of everything she does. She believes only the best for herself and she has to be the best, anything less is failure and that is absolutely not an option.

HISTORY:
Anphiel was the second child born to creche workers Ambrosia and Philip of Telgar Weyr. From the moment she was old enough to play with other children, she was very particular in whom she selected to play with. At first her parents just assumed their daughter was shy but as she grew and this persisted, they wondered if she just was not a social creature. This continued in her young life until age 8 when she met another child near her own age. This child was sweet, outgoing and honestly made her feel like they cared about her. A friendship blossomed not long after and the two were inseparable. That was.. until at age 12, her friend met another girl and eventually he told her that he had a crush on this new friend.
This crushed Anphiel, whom also realized she had a crush but this friend seemed to only have eyes for this new girl and because she loved her best friend and was terrified to voice her feelings, she hesitated to say anything for a turn but at age 13, she finally got the courage to confess her feelings to him
Her best friend sadly was not as receptive to this and laughed at her confession, saying she was too plain looking to appeal to him and that besides, he was already interested in the girl he had met prior. This sparked a deep resentment in Anphiel and when the pair became candidates a few months later, she was not able to follow due to being a year younger.. The rejection and feeling of not being good enough sent her in a spiraling depression for several years and she was not sure what to do with her life during this time. She assisted her parents in their work while trying to decide what she wanted for herself but she knew that creche work was certainly not it.
At the age of 21, she decided she wanted to become a candidate, not because the ex friend had but because she wanted this for herself and by this time, her brother had already done so and she decided to follow in his footsteps. But deciding that she would be happy either as a rider or a handler, she decided to apply herself as a duel candidate. By this time her brother Devon was already impressed to a fine bonded and this inspired her that she too could do so. She enjoyed the learning aspect, finding it to be a good way to distract herself from the still feelings of loneliness and pain she felt when she still seen the ex friend and his partner around, both having impressed a couple of turns after she entered candidacy.
As the turns ticked onwards and she didn't impress, she began to wonder if it was something about her that they didn't like? Or maybe.. the right bonded just had not been born yet perhaps? Her parents had noted her discomfort and having recently decided they were going to move to Semaca for their later years figuring that creche workers were always bound to find work, even way out in Semaca. They reasoned that a fresh start might be just what their daughter needed and proposed the idea to her, stating that there were candidates in Semaca too.
Having nothing anymore to keep her tied down to Telgar and finding the idea of a fresh start appealing, Anphiel made the choice to leave with her parents and brother and travel to Semaca. Her parents settled back into their former jobs and her brother into one of the Squads. Hoping this fresh start gives her the bonded she dreams of, she looked to the future, ready for her new life to move onto its next exciting chapter.
