FULL APPEARANCE:
- Siya has long wavy brown hair falling past her shoulders and dark brown eyes with a beauty mark under the outer edge of the left one. She is athletic and a little on the tall side, having grown from a gangly child into a well-proportioned young lady. Siyanna wears practical clothes but in bright colors, balancing between what is the most pragmatic and what she likes. She likes to keep her hair loose, but when she's working it's often more feasible to keep it braided. She wears primarily trousers and blouses, with boots laced up her calf. Jewelry is a rarity for her, and in fact the few pieces she owns have been stolen by Miss Priss and have to be stolen back when she wants to wear them for gathers or other special occasions.

- A sunny girl, Siyanna is friendly and outgoing. She makes friends easily and keeps them well. She loves to talk and listens well, and as a result, generally knew most of what went on about the creche. Moving into the candidate barracks hasn’t changed that, and she’s adapted well to her new abode. Siya is a sweetheart, still very innocent, with wide-eyed dreams of becoming a dragonrider like her daddy and his lover one day.
Siya likes to listen to the riders and weyrfolk that she does chores alongside as they gossip. She loves gossip. How else are you supposed to know what's going on? She tries to parse out truth from conjecture, but she's still young and inexperienced and she's been caught up in mere rumors before.
Growing up a weyrbrat, Siyanna believes in the Weyr and that dragonriders and wherhandlers are very important people who are the only true line of defense against the ravages of Thread. As such, Siya is very pro-dragonrider, and has an idealized view of them. She'd trust any rider with her life and doesn't see past the title in most cases ... and so could easily be hurt by a dragonrider or wherhandler, especially a dragonrider as she's more than a little naive about them.
In the end, Siyanna can be very bold and callous. She has no sense of boundaries especially where it comes to gossip, and while she is confident she is also very assuming. She can be abrupt, brazen, and audacious. Siya can be incredibly cold and unfeeling about what her words might do to people, not because she is mean but because she just doesn’t think about it.

- Born in the spring of turn 2761, Siya was the result of a one-time liaison between a drudge and a dragonrider. Her mother didn’t really want anything to do with her, but her father was as involved as possible in the rearing of his child and she was very much wanted by him. Soon her father became weyrmated to another dragonrider who was basically a second father to her. She saw her father or his weyrmate at least once a sevenday as she grew up, showered with attention and quality time as they could find the time. Her mother was little more than a name in her life, and although she met the woman a couple of times but any interaction between them felt forced and awkward.
For her tenth nameday she received a firelizard egg from her father and his weyrmate and named her new gold flit Miss Priss ... a fitting name for the aloof creature. She adores her pet and likes to think of her as practice for when she has her very own dragon. She takes the chores of washing and oiling, as well as other chores to care for her pet, very seriously as a result.
Until recently the creche has been her entire world and Siya has been very sheltered from the political climate of the Weyr because she didn’t really feel it necessary to pay attention to politics; however, now that she is a candidate she is starting to really pay attention to the world of the Weyr as a whole. She’s only obsessed with becoming a dragonrider and she went to the Candidatemaster to sign up on her fifteenth nameday.
Now that she’s less sheltered and starting to open up to the world at large, Siya is finding out about the history of the Weyr and how it has related to other Weyrs. She’s pretty sure Fort is generally always in the right, and that High Reaches and Semaca are a little weird ... but not as weird as Benden with its staunch traditionalism and the fact that it’s completely stuck in the past.
When it comes to the future, Siyanna would love to be Weyrwoman one day. She knows it will be a long time for her to get there, but she thinks she’d be a good fit for a gold and as a Junior Weyrwoman until her time comes to serve as Weyrwoman of Fort Weyr! At the same time, she wouldn’t be devastated by Impressing garnet ... garnets might not be queens, but they’re still pretty cool and she totally thinks that she’d make a good partner for a clutchmother. She’s done well with Miss Priss’s past clutches, after all! Okay, she had some help with the first two. But still, she was good with eggs!
It’s a long road. She knows she’s likely to be left standing for a while before she finally Impresses, because if she’s meant for gold, well, there’s not always a gold in a clutch. There wasn’t even always a garnet in a clutch. But she’s willing to be patient for just the right dragon to come along and make Siyanna hers.
