FULL APPEARANCE:
- Byran is fair skinned and of relatively average height. They have a slim figure with wiry muscles, obviously strong despite their lack of bulk. Their hair is mid-brown and loosely curled, more so at the ends than near the root of their hair, and hangs nearly to mid-back. They like to leave it loose, but will pull it back when it is practical. They have eyes in a curious blueish hazel shade that is almost gray-brown. They don’t have much of an opinion on fashion, past making sure that their clothes go together reasonably well. As such, whether they stand out or blend in mostly depends on what they currently own and pull out of their wardrobe.

- Byran is incredibly detached, eschewing most close relationships except that with their dragon. They rarely write home, read letters from their family out of duty rather than interest, and have no desire to connect with anyone who might be taken away from them. This was always a part of them, although they did become more severe in this stance after being Searched.

BIRTHPLACE: A cothold beholden to Fort
HISTORY:
- Born the first of five girls, Byranne was the first child born in that generation on the cothold, entering the world a turn before her cousin Roav. Of course, Roav, being the child of eldest brother Roakir, would be the one to inherit control of the family cothold, something that irked Byranne once she was old enough to understand that.
By the time they were ten, Byran had gained four baby sisters and dropped the last two letters of their name. They had an intense interest in poetry and were fascinated by the life cycles of the animals and plants around them. The seasons were also of interest, like the world itself was being born again after sleeping through winter. They were rather indifferent to most of their family, being completely uninterested in all of their sisters except Tyebadi, as they found the rest too young to be good compatriots.
Byran was barely fifteen when they were Searched with eggs already on the stands; Byran Impressed Solaith that first time Standing. It was interesting and uncomfortable, suddenly having someone else in their head, and Byran had not had any time to prepare for this to happen. Emotionally speaking, they might as well have Impressed out of the stands!
It was awkward and uncomfortable, but eventually, Byran and Solaith found their footing. When they graduated from weyrlinghood, they joined Eclipse Wing, where they have been ever since.
When Byran was nineteen, their cousin Keir was Searched. Byran didn’t feel extremely connected to their cousin, but if he Impressed, maybe they could help as a sort of unofficial mentor. They certainly didn’t want to get attached if he wound up just going back to the cothold …
