Serapheth has at last risen and a new weyrleader has been chosen, as well as a new assistant weyrleader and wherleaders for the wherhandlers. The cycle of the weyrs moves on. What are your hopes for the new administration?

"Certainly," Holt mused as he raised his glass, giving it a cordial swirl between his fingers. He brought it close to his nose and inhaled, eyes rolling briefly skyward as he admired the aroma. "Benden wine. Insufferable though their Weyr may be, the Hold truly does produce some of the finest alcohol on this side of Pern. Not like that acidic swill that runs from Telgar's casks."

He and Cozner had spent the prior evening drinking and watching the sun set outside with their dragons. A peaceful, quiet night soaking in the glow of things finally going right in Fort Weyr.

"Truly, I am ecstatic and extremely grateful for my promotion into the current position," he mused with a straight and narrow face absent of a smile. His tone was monotone. "And I intend to make my mark as a worthy, trusted asset to Fort. If you have any concerns or suggestions, my weyr is always open." Holt cleared his throat, seeking the other attendees who were being honored. "Congratulations to my peers!"
