Iosefkath was not an often-riser, but it was time.

Though Playne had called Hunter back to her for the evening - surely his duties could wait a little while longer - the green was already pacing on her ledge. She had done this before, and she would do it again. Once she knew the door was closed and locked, she took off. No need for blood, she needed to fly!

While Playne drew the wherhandler into bed for some affection and cuddling, the green launched herself into the air.

Dragons of this Pass! Chase, for I will fly to the stars!

Aoi was reading a scroll when Kurabeth suddenly perked from his side and stood up, causing the overweight rider to fall against the ground. The harper sat up, staring at his dragon in shock. Kurabeth looked back at him and looked almost excited.

"Aoi, I'd like to take flight after Iosefkath. Can I go? Pretty please?" Aoi looked surprised before smiling at the blue.

"You don't need to ask me, Kurabeth. Go, have fun."

With that, the eager dragon barreled out of the weyr the two shared, even knocking the bed off to the side as he took off to the sky. He could hear Aoi's sigh of defeat, but he didn't care.

He wanted to fly.

"Hey, Iosefkath! You look as pretty as the lake! Do you mind if I fly with you?" The blue dragon seemed to wag his tail, looking at the green with an excited look in his eyes.

Amishuth didn't even need to touch his rider's brain when the affirmation was thrown his way. A'ksei was busy inspecting his muscles in a looking glass. Ah, to be vain. "Go, go! I know you want to. Go dazzle that lady!"

Poor shame there were no ladies or fellas he was currently wooing to drag into bed with him for this occasion. Ah well ...

Amishuth sprung into the air. He dove towards the hunting grounds and snatched a wherry that attempted to fly out of danger (although that failed, considering the clipping of its wings). It was a grab n' go, for he bled it in the air and dropped the corpse with a content hum.

Iosefkath! he called to her in his casually flirtatious voice. Your green complexion is made only more beautiful by that stunning glow you hold! Alas, your best and most favorable suitor has made his arrival - allow me to show you!

Blue Radarth

B'layk had been mooning over a greenrider a lot lately. Radarth wasn't one to do that kind of thing, but it did make him take slightly more notice when a green rose and called for chasers. Particularly one as strikingly pretty as Iosefkath.

B'layk picked up on the blue's interest and immediately started offering encouragement. "Go for it, buddy! She'd be lucky to have you following after her!"

Shyly, with a bit more prompting from B'layk, he took to the sky after her. Um....hi....uh.....I, um....like your curlicues.....They're really, um....pretty...You....you are too! B'layk cheered in Radarth's head, and if Radarth had been human he would've been utterly red with the force of his blush. As it was, he was too busy flying after the Iosefkath to do much more than stammer awkward - but clearly earnest - compliments.

Hunter lay contentedly besides Playne, enjoying the feel of her warmth against him. It was still strange that he could have moments like this, after so many turns spent mostly alone. Like something out of a long-forgotten, half-faded dream.

He could never have imagined someone like Playne, a dragonrider from another time, who made him feel at peace, just by being here.

The world was a dangerous place. But he was safe with her. He would do whatever it took to ensure she was safe with him, to protect this gauzy dream that had somehow become his life, he resolved, as he cradled her delicate form and enjoyed this simple moment of connection.

But for the moment, they were together. Her dragon was in the sky. He had her hand in his.

Rugrunth was a dragon. He was of this pass. And chasing after a mysterious, pretty green sounded like the fun sort of trouble. Which meant he was all in!

With a bugle, he launched himself into the air, all enthusiasm and eagerness, without much polish to him.

Let's do it, ha! A proper adventure, you and me, greenie, to the stars and the moons and the red star itself if you're feeling brave, Rugrunth challenged, as he barreled cheerfully forward, with surprising speed- if not a lot of finesse.

Rugrunth wondered if any dragon had ever actually tried it. He all but chortled just thinking of all the things a dragon could do from there.

But for now? He had a green to woo.

And what better way to do that than to make her happy, right? And what made people happy better than a good joke? Kyoshi had tried it on Rangi this morning and it had worked on her.

She had a fine array of blues, and Iosefkath was not particularly planning to judge them harshly. None had a rider trying to pair with her own, therefor they did not have to be subject to such scrutiny.

But she had flown enough.
