Garnet Enmask
It was a cool afternoon in the Weyr, and Enmask was restless. She’d known she would run, soon, but hadn’t quite been certain when she would be ready. However, there was no mistaking it now- she was ready for another run. Pushing herself to her feet, she didn’t bother telling Enma where she was going- they’d been partners long enough that he knew her run schedule well, and she was sure he’d feel the building anticipation.
But, it wasn’t time to dwell on Enma or what he’d be doing with his weyrmate behind closed doors. No, she only cared about one thing- finding the best possible suitor through a good run.
The powerful garnet burst out into the area surrounding the weyr, her proud roar ringing loudly. Whers of Fort! I run! Join me, see if you best suitor for Enmask! she called, setting herself a sustainable pace. She wanted this run to last, after all. Whers who couldn’t last the full distance weren’t going to be worth picking.
