Do these eggs look funny to you? I've heard a rumor that the cothold they come from is breeding a new line of pure black wherry that even has black blood.

Wysril gazed suspiciously at the inside of the eggshell, at the dark green-black veins tracing the inside. This certainly didn't look natural. Dubiously, he asked, "Are we sure these things are safe to eat?"

He was trying not to be too weirded out. Wherries came in all sorts of different colors, and they didn't all lay the same color eggs. But all black? That didn't seem quite natural.
