Battered, But Not Broken [Nine]

Aneesa nervously made her way to the infirmary, a small basket tucked under her good arm. Her right arm was braced and in a sling, strapped to her chest to minimize movement. The hatchling had done enough damage, her arm was broken and would need some time to heal. She would need to make due with just her left arm for the foreseeable future.

With a grunt, she pushed open the door to the Infirmary with her shoulder, scanning the beds for the other victim of the violent blue at the hatching. After a few moments, she spotted Heiro, still unconscious after the Healers had stitched her back together. Aneesa placed the basket on the small table next to Heiro, then with a clatter, dragged a chair over next to the bed.

"Well, hopefully you wake up soon," Aneesa said quietly as she sat in the chair. "I'd hate for this food to go to waste before you get to enjoy it."
