FULL APPEARANCE:At'rah is average in regard to height, at 5' 5" tall, but her build is strong, deceptively so. Between her creamy brown skin, her full lips, her striking blue eyes, and her dark brown hair that falls in waves down to her buttocks, she's certainly a sight to behold. As per dragonrider custom, she's not usually seen wearing something other than her fighting leathers, but she occasionally wears a white shirt that hangs off her shoulders and sturdy breeches. Additionally, she often wears a purple accessory, usually a sash at her waist, to draw significance to her position as a garnetrider.

BIRTHPLACE: Small cothold near Crom Hold, High Reaches territory
HISTORY:Atarah was born to a loving couple in a small cothold under High Reaches Weyr's dominion, while Golre and Vyzeth ruled as its "Mad Golds." Life was simple enough, full of happy days for a little girl, though her parents were always afraid and she couldn't understand why. But she learned soon enough. In her toddling Turns, she'd met an older girl named Aya, who'd been born and raised here as she was. Ever since, they were close friends, doing everything together, almost inseparable. Until one day in 2759, where Atarah remembers a massive shadow passing above them before her parents pulled her inside. After a long couple candlemarks, she was allowed out again, but Aya was nowhere to be found and her parents inconsolable.
No one told Atarah what had happened to her friend, thinking she was too young and still needed sheltering from such a harsh reality, but she wouldn't be swayed. At thirteen, she was certainly a headstrong and fiery girl, but she wasn't stupid. Something had happened to Aya and she wanted to know what that was, so she could find who's ass she had to kick. But her parents didn't budge on telling her, leading to multiple arguments that left a lingering rift between them. A couple Turns would pass before she got them to break and tell her what she wanted to know: a dragon had taken her on Search, to High Reaches Weyr. Afterwards, no matter how much her parents begged and pleaded her not to do it, she realized what she would do: go find Aya herself. Atarah would approach a passing caravan and arrange safe transport to its latest destination: Telgar Weyr.
If she was to go to High Reaches and find Aya, Atarah needed help. Facing an entire Weyr by herself was a fool's errand, which meant she needed to approach carefully, as one of them. A girl on her own would be easily brushed off, but a girl and her
dragon wouldn't be so readily denied. So as soon as she arrived, she presented herself, as she planned, to Telgar's Candidatemaster to take her place on Telgar's hatching sands, being accepted after some scrutiny. But hardly a season after, news spread about Golre's defeat in Fort Weyr's skies, her reign of terror coming to and end. Though countless questions marched through her mind, one sat above all else: was Aya okay? It seemed her quest was still on, her need for a dragon increased tenfold. Once she Impressed, she'd get through weyrlinghood and transfer to High Reaches as soon as possible.
It was four Turns later that a garnet emerged from her egg and skipped her way to sit at Atarah's feet. And promptly biting one of her blue clutchsiblings by his tail and commenting on a brown's coughing fit from falling into sand while struggling to hatch. Mimth was a menace and a nuisance, but she belonged to At'rah now, her reason for coming to Telgar Weyr; perhaps Mimth was her just reward for Impressing not for Pern's sake, but for her own. Regardless, weyrlinghood was a trial as Mimth took every chance she could to cause trouble, breaking rules left and right and dragging At'rah into her messes. But after a trying Turn, they graduated into a fully-fledged dragonpair, where At'rah eagerly began making plans to transfer, once Mimth was old enough to do so.
But that was before she met August. Impressing to bronze Gyriath some four Turns after she'd Impressed her Mimth, At'rah thought little of them at first, too focused on her eventual departure for High Reaches and her quest to find Aya. But as time went on, she couldn't help but notice how stressed and faded her wingmate seemed, a shadow of his former self. It was a chance encounter, both still present after drills had concluded, but she asked them if everything was okay. That simple question led to them slowly growing closer as time went on, each taking a strange comfort in each other's company, until a strong friendship was born. So much so that while At'rah wouldn't ever forget her mission to find Aya, she had August to care for too, someone she couldn't so readily forsake or forget.
So, of course, at August's sudden transfer to High Reaches Weyr, At'rah followed a little too eagerly. Knowing for Turns about his struggles against his parents' demands, it didn't surprise her that he'd left, but she wouldn't hesitate to give his parents two middle fingers before she went after her friend. Once her transfer was accepted, she
betweened so fast it seemed like she had Thread on her tail. After so long, she was in High Reaches, where she could finish what she'd started: find Aya.

Mimth
Sounds like someone's sick. How lovely. I do hope it's serious. Something dreadful.
BASICSNAME: Mimth
BIRTHDATE: Late Fall 2764
AGE: 12 as of 2776
CLUTCHINGCLUTCHING: NO
RUNS/FLIGHTS: 3
APPEARANCELENGTH: 36 ft.
HEIGHT: 9 ft.
WINGSPAN: 54 ft.
COLOR: Garnet
HEX CODE: #5e277aFULL APPEARANCE:Mimth is a short and squat garnet, not particularly graceful on land or in flight. While walking, she seems to bounce and waddle, her feet dragging and scuffing as she pads along. While flying, she usually needs a running start and plenty of space to get airborne. Regarding her coloration, she's a singular bright purple across her entire body. A darker purple paints her toes, tail tip, and all across her wings.
PERSONALITYPERSONALITY:To put it bluntly, Mimth is horrible to her core. Seeing most everyone as beneath her, she holds others in disdain and disregard. Being so self-absorbed, she's always eager to flaunt her power, seeing herself as superior to all others. A sadistic and malicious dragon, she hates things that brings others joy, actively taking efforts to destroy them if she can; she hisses at sunlight warming her weyr ledge, she scratches up spring blooms, she gorges to deprive others of choice meat. Regretting nothing about what she does, Mimth taking great joy in seeing others suffer misfortune, especially if she causes it. Seeming to lie on a whim, she's calculating and cunning, more than happy to betray someone if it suits her, eagerly using loopholes to let her get her way.
To her bonded, Mimth can be an absolute nightmare to manage. Mimth is a dragon who's fond of using others' honor against them, but finds those tricks don't work on At'rah. Willful and headstrong, she resents being kept from what she sees as her fullest potential, but begrudgingly respects such strength in keeping her under control. Fond of needling At'rah and bringing her doubts to light, she's determined to be as unhelpful as possible, as retribution for being so damned difficult. Perhaps Mimth cares for At'rah on some level, but to care for someone other than herself is such a foreign concept to her that she instantly denies it. If she does give a shard about her bonded, she has a funny way of showing it, being so venomous and vile.
VOICE: Mimth sounds like an old crone, but her voice is high-pitched and annoying more often than not.(Non-Clutching Garnet Gacha, February 2024!)
