FULL APPEARANCE: Eaving is a lovely young woman. Her skin is pale, almost seeming to have a luminance in some lights. Her hair is dark brown and gently waved, flowing to her mid-back. Eaving has eyes that are a startling shade of dark blue and framed by soft, sooty lashes. She is slim of frame, with a fine bone structure to her face. She's gained some muscle since becoming a rider, but it only adds to her appeal.
She loves clothes and shiny baubles. If she had the marks for it, she would have enough clothes to wear a different thing every day all turn. Alas, being from a minor hold and being a rider, she is limited on what she does have. Her one prized possession, a family heirloom passed down to her, is a finely worked gold and ruby bracelet. She only wears it for special occasions though and usually just has it on display in her weyr.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY: Eaving's draw doesn't come just from her lovely appearance, but also from her quiet stillness. She has the feeling of one who is at peace with herself. Eaving is a calm observer of everything around her, and only speaks up when she is sure of what she wants to say.
Eaving has a big heart. She is a protector over everything else, and wants to shelter her loved ones from the bad things in the world. This can lead to her being too suffocating as she has problems with letting go and letting someone grow outside of the walls she builds around them.
She has her vices. She appreciates the finer things in life, like nice fabrics, handsome men (and pretty women) and good wine. If left unchecked, she can easily overindulge. However between Charith and Weyland, she doesn't have as many problems with it as she did before before two of them came into her life.

BIRTHPLACE: cothold near Fort Hold
HISTORY: Eaving is the youngest born of six children to a small cothold beholden to Fort. Her life was generally well off, for her station at least. The family was fed, clothed, and happy. Events in the larger world of Pern passed them by for the most part, as they rarely interacted with anyone beyond their neighboring cotholds.
It was the fall of 2763 and Eaving had recently turned 15. She journeyed with her father and older brothers to Fort Hold proper for the first time as they were trading some goods for supplies. Her parents thought she should experience the larger Hold at least once in her life.
Eaving got to experience more than just seeing Fort. A blue dragon and his rider from Fort Weyr were visiting the Hold on some business or another. Eaving never knew what the original purpose was. All she knew was that he was HUGE! And she had never seen any dragon up close, just distant figures in the sky sometimes. The Blue dragon was a marvel to look at, but Eaving was too scared to go near him.
Later, his rider sought out Eaving's father. The Blue had noticed Eaving watching him, and had taken interest in her. His rider told the stunned lass that he wanted to Search her. Her father and brothers thought it great honor that Eaving could be Searched, and once Eaving recovered from the pronouncement, she happily accepted.
The rider was nice enough to give Eaving, her father, and her brothers a ride back to their cothold so that Eaving could let her mother know and pack her things. Then it was off to Fort Weyr!
The difference in lifestyle between her former hold life and the weyr threw her off kilter. She had so much to learn and it was hard for her to get her stride. She was thrust into the Sands soon after arriving, as first the dual clutch of Phaedrath and Adeshath, then one coming from Georsath happened before she was even properly settled. She stood for both, but didn't Impress.
The maiden clutch of Serapheth was due to hatch and once again Eaving found herself on the hot sands. She stood with her fellow candidates, but her time as one of them was over. A small green hatched and accused her of bad fashion before proclaiming that she belonged to Charith forevermore.
The next two years seemed to flash by. Weyrling training was tougher than she expected it would be, and it took up nearly all of her focus to learn what she needed to know. She vaguely remembered a bad Threadfall, and a plague, and some renegades between when she Impressed and when she graduated.
She had no interest in the politics of the Weyr, and simply followed the orders she was given. She fought Thread when needed and raised Charith to be a fine lady.
Shortly after she turned 20, she met someone in the Weyr. His name was Weyland and while she was afraid of him at first (as he was quite intimidating) over the next turn or so, she grew used to his mannerisms and realized that he was really gentle and sweet. They later officially became weyrmates. Weyland was the one who gifted her the firelizard egg that hatched into the Garnet Catling.
Z'osh being put in charge of her Wing didn't really bother her. She ended up throwing her hat in with the Traditionalists after some of the lectures he gave them. As a greenrider, she wasn't much use during the coup, though she supported his takeover.
She was also part of the contingent who confronted the rebel wing, though she was quick to flee when fighting broke out. After Z'osh got banished, she was distrusted by some for siding with the Traditionalists. SO right now she is quiet and bides her time, though for what even she doesn't know.
