FULL APPEARANCE: Banagher has only finished growing recently to his final height of 5'10" and is still a little awkward in his body. He has round features, with most of the baby fat still on his cheeks, and is sometimes mistaken to be a couple of Turns below his age. He keeps his brown hair as tidy as he can, though it still has a tendency to fall into his eyes. He usually has a serious expression on his face, and it is rare to see him smile. His clothes are simple, and he is usually seen wearing a jacket, even when the weather is warmer.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY: Banagher is utterly dedicated to doing what he thinks is right for Pern, to the point of blindly rushing into danger without a second thought. Above all, he wants people to have the freedom to choose their own paths in life. He wants a peaceful Pern, and will try to use nonviolent methods before force, but will reluctantly use force if that is what is needed. He hates the concept of sacrifices for the greater good, however, and will compromise missions to save individuals. Mineva and Unicoth especially mean everything to him, and he will protect them before all else, even if they tell him not to. He isn't particularly good at listening, really.
He doesn't really see a path for his future despite being a dragonrider, though he could have been a decent smith in another life. He enjoys making things and bonds with others through building things together, mostly by building trust through wing exercises these days. He also really enjoys bonding with others through food. He's not especially social, however, and has a tendency to fall into melancholy when left to his thoughts. He often wonders what would have been different had his parents lived, had he grown up with both parents, had he stayed in High Reaches. He knows in his heart he will never get answers, but he can't stop himself from wondering.
HISTORY

HISTORY: C'vist was part of an illustrious line at Benden. The men were often bronzeriders, these bronzeriders often wingleaders or even sometimes Weyrleader. C'vist himself had had a brief stint as Weyrleader in his younger days before the senior queen took a dislike to Laplath.
C'vist, despite initially following in his family's footsteps, had a change of heart when he was on the older side. His first weyrmate had died of illness, and he fell in love with a Lower Caverns worker a few Turns his junior. Anna was kind and beautiful, but because she had little rank, his family looked down upon the pairing. When Banagher was only five Turns, too young to understand the pressure on Anna, she took him and requested an urgent transfer to Fort Weyr.
Banagher grew up knowing that his father had been important at Benden, and with a couple of foggy memories of a kind older man who'd taken him on dragon rides. But he loved his mother deeply as well, and blamed his father for their separation despite not knowing the full context.
Anna tragically died of illness when Banagher was ten Turns old, spurring Banagher to seek out his father. He didn't get very far, being a child without connections or a firelizard. But C'vist had been seeking him out as well. They reunited once, Banagher borrowing a runnerbeast and meeting his father a ways away from Fort to help throw C'vist's family off their trail. C'vist provided some answers and promised more, and Banagher eagerly awaited their next meeting. But the bronzerider was dead in the next Threadfall.
While still grieving the loss of his father, Banagher met Mineva, a Holdborn girl around his own age. He fell in love with her immediately, though she took some time to reciprocate, or even view him as a friend. But once she did, she loved him deeply as well. Banagher apprenticed as a smith during this time, both at Mineva's gentle urging and because C'vist had once wistfully mentioned that it was what he would have done had he had a different life.
Banagher and Mineva became candidates together once they aged in. About a Turn after that, while Mineva was left standing at the Trailblazers clutch, Banagher Impressed white Unicoth. He took a little time to warm up to the white, but grew to love her every bit as deeply as he loved Mineva. After graduation, he and Mineva officially began a relationship.
While they were still in the honeymoon phase, Mineva transferred to High Reaches, claiming she could do more good there, leaving behind a distraught Banagher and mournful Unicoth. Banagher uses his tiny green firelizard, whose egg was gifted to him by a rider named Amuro soon after graduation, to write to her every day.
