FULL APPEARANCE: Haman is a tall woman with a commanding presence. Though she may only be in her early twenties, Haman carries herself like a weathered commander. She practically oozes confidence, she is so full of it. She has an upright, confident bearing. She is not afraid to look anyone in the eye, even when she is lying. It is in the way she walks, talks, and breathes. Her shoulders are wide for a woman, but Haman does not hide them. Instead she uses them to good advantage, strong shoulders equate the ability to shoulder a lot of responsibility, right?
She keeps her hair short, cut bluntly between the ears and shoulders. It is thick, but pin straight, and hardly dares lay anyway but that which Haman wants it to. She also wears bangs at eyebrow level, so that they often blend into her hair (and thus harder to notice if they rise in surprise, right?). Her nose is perfectly straight. A sharp blade in her face, above thin lips. Her eyes are almond shaped and hooded. Haman is also surprisingly strong. She looks strong, too, there is a noted difference between appearance and ability. Perhaps if her muscles bulked like a man's it would be different.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:Haman isn't afraid of anything. Why should she be? Isn't she perfectly capable? Haman thinks so, certainly. Gazath does too, and his is the only opinion Haman ever worries about (and sometimes not even then). Haman sees everything as a challenge. To strive is to win, but to struggle is too near failure to contemplate. Haman expects herself to be good at everything, and somewhere inside she thinks everyone else does too. Life has taught Haman that everyone has their use. She is an impressive delegate-r. She is quick to see what others excel at, and where their weaknesses lie, and how to use those to her advantage. Though it often appears that it is also for theirs (and sometimes it is, but its always to Haman's).
While capable of being friendly, and even flirty, there are doubts whether anyone would find Haman soft or gentle, or really even nice or kind. She is, perhaps, to confident, though charismatic, to be seen as such. Too much in charge to much less than a force to reckoned with, rather than a person to enjoy. Maybe if things had been different, Haman would have been different too, but they are not. And so Haman finds she cannot afford to be anything more open.
Trust no one.
HISTORY
FAMILY: No
SIGNIFICANT OTHER: Judau of green Haroth
BIRTHPLACE: Out back beyond of nowhere
HISTORY: Haman's family was completely devastated by the war. Haman, in fact, refuses to admit she ever had a family at all. As a small child she was found wandering beyond a smoking ruin, soot covered and bloody by an out-rider. She was taken to the nearest cothold and left there. For turns Haman's life was full of drudgery. She learned what she could and watched what she shouldn't. She did endless chores and attended lessons with the other children her age when those chores permitted. She was, after all, some other families by-blow and an extra, unwanted and unknown mouth to feed.
And the strange, fierce spark in Haman, who refused to talk about her origins, did not endear her to anyone. Life was hard and ugly. But Haman learned many things from it. Many many things.
She was just past her fifteenth birthday when Searchriders came. A blue and green pair, their stocky dragons having a look over the people of the cothold. Haman was smug when she was the only one selected. But she was also the only one to boldly put herself forward. No cowering in awe in the huddled group with the others. Haman marched right up to them, hands on hips, head tossed back. She was better than this hovel. And the dragons agreed. So to Ista Weyr Haman went. And the following turn she Impressed Gazath, having completed her Candidates lessons with flying colors and becoming something of a leader among her peers. Certainly Haman was always in the midst of any planning or scheme.
She and Gazath worked hard as weyrlings. Haman especially pushed the white to be the absolute best, requiring from him all the perfection she required from herself. They were certainly a pair to watch out for. When things began going south among the Weyrs, Haman decided a new home might be interesting. She wasn't sure exactly what was going on, but she wanted to know. So Haman put in for a transfer to Fort Weyr. They moved in shortly before the coup, and now Haman finds things ever more interesting. Certainly with the Weyr so unbalanced, finding a position of power to slide herself into should be easy. Fort was rife with emotions to be used to her advantage, even if she was an outsider. In fact, the challenge of doing it as an outsider made it all the more exciting to Haman.
