Li'dyn stands at 5'10" with a slender build and pale skin. His jaw is prominent but his face bears some softness, giving him a feminine look. His brown eyes are narrow and he wears his pale blond hair short and tastefully tousled. His legs are long and contribute to much of his height. He takes immense pride in his appearance and always looks put together, even if the job is physically demanding or dirty. He dresses to impress and his wardrobe reflects his upbringing.

Li'dyn is highly pretentious, making sure everyone knows exactly who he is and where he is from. By listening to him talk, one would think he was the second coming of Faranth herself; he's eloquent and well spoken with a gift for persuasion. Most people with common sense know he's full of it, but he can occasionally get a fool with his boasting. He seems aloof, but if you can get him to slip up, he'll get rather flustered and make an exit before he embarrasses himself. Despite the tall tales he tells about himself, he doesn't take kindly to liars, not because of any high morality, but because he considers these people low brow and tasteless.
Li'dyn clever and can weasel his way out of most situations, something he picked up when he became the baby of the family. He's manipulative to get his own way as his priority is numero uno, but is fiercely protective of those he's close to. He doesn't take any crap and is more than happy to call out someone behaving badly. He can be very judgmental of people who act below their station, but is impressed by those who act above it. Good breeding and manners are important to him, and a polite peasant is much better than a rude Lord in his eyes. The easiest way into his heart is by discussing fashion.

HISTORY:
Liengoldyn was born to parents of modest means in a minor hold under Igen. They weren't very important, but they had enough for their son and made sure he was fed and clothed. Four turns later they had a little girl, Liendyn, though their time with her was short-lived as they were taken by plague only a year after she was born. There was fortune in their grief, though, as Lord Neisen and Lady Esyre took the pair in.
Finding himself not the eldest for the first time, Liengoldyn became fussy because all of the attention wasn't on him. That changed as his adoptive sister Syrene began to dote on him and he became attached, learning her habits and becoming a brat as a result. Conversely, Liendyn became close with Eisesyr, their adoptive brother, putting a strain on the biological siblings' relationship. They were never quite as close as they could have been, but they were still brother and sister and looked out for each other. When he was twelve, Syrene was searched. The 'loss' of his older sister was hard on him, leaving him feeling abandoned even though his sister and foster brother were still around. He tried to fill the void with material possessions, but it didn't help.
He was searched at 16 by a rider from Igen and accepted, eager to follow in Syrene's footsteps. Candidacy was no picnic, however; the work was hard and his attitude not popular with his teachers and classmates. He mellowed a little during lessons in his first and only turn as a candidate, as he Impressed in 2767 to a spirited Green, Vairrianth. At first he was affronted, almost offended that a Green dare choose him, but Vairrianth quickly won him over with her cheery disposition and undying affection for him.
Now with more responsibility as a rider, Li'dyn reluctantly learned the meaning of hard work. That was one of the hardest lessons of all, especially with his Green coaching him along and telling him to do his best. It became easier to do so over time, especially after Liendyn was searched the following Turn and Impressed a Blue almost immediately after. He had to set a good example, after all, not that he'd ever been concerned about it before. Though his sister was now at Igen with him, he couldn't help but miss Sy'rei as well. His ties with the Weyr were loose at best, so he put in for a transfer to Fort in 2770, and much to his surprise the recently graduated Lien put in to come with him.
