However, she does have several freckles dotting all over her face and body, with several of them on her face. Her red hair is slightly wavy and a bit out of control, even if she brushes it down. She tends to wear more warm toned colors and is fond of a jacket she received from her mother when she was younger, often wearing it. She has dark brown eyes.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
Even as a child, Perryl was incredibly loyal. She would always stick up for her friends and go out of her way to defend them if anything happened to them. However, this can lead for her to be manipulated by those she is loyal to. She will often follow along with them, a wide smile on her face, and not paying attention to any potential warning signs. Perryl can also be prideful at times herself, especially when she talks about Pyrrhiath. When she speaks about her dragon, she often comments on how lucky she is to have such a stunning green.
Perryl tends to speak in a matter-of-fact manner, stating things as if they were obvious to everyone in the room. Along with this, she tends to speak in a very sarcastic tone, to the point she often appears to just be mean to others for no reason. She speaks often in a similar tone to her mother, Kestral, something she does not personally enjoy. However, much like her mother, she has a secret loving side to her that mostly shows in her loyalty. She generally cares a lot about those she befriends and honestly wants to make sure they're safe.
HISTORY
FAMILY:
Kestral - Mother
Skylar - Younger Brother
SIGNIFICANT OTHER: N/A
BIRTHPLACE: Igen Weyr
HISTORY:
Perryl lived an average life as a child growing into the creche. Her mother was a dragonrider, but she did not always get along with her when Kestral would visit her. Even at a young age, she had a similar personality to her mother, which caused for them to argue at times.
However, she was incredibly fond of her little brother when he was born, Skylar. She was always close with him and would protect him from anyone who would tease him. She was not afraid to pick fights with older kids and wasn't afraid to get to trouble. As long as Skylar and, later, her friends were safe, she would be happy.
She, however, was excited to become a candidate of Igen Weyr, even at a young age. She dreamed of becoming a dragonrider. However, this dream was changed in 2762, when her family moved to Fort Weyr. She was angry at Kestral at that, not understanding why she would suddenly rip her and Skylar from their friends. In fact, all she thought was that her mother didn't care about how they felt. Their entire lives had been uprooted because of her!
These feelings continued for a while, with Perryl becoming a candidate shortly before Nornth's clutch. She was excited to go to her first clutch as a candidate, even though she could tell her mother was a bit worried. However, when she saw two candidates getting mauled, she felt sick to her stomach. Were all Fort clutches going to be like this? This was disheartening and, at that moment, Perryl decided to transfer back to Igen Weyr for the rest of her candidacy.
A decision she never regretted.
Sure, she missed Skylar becoming a candidate, but she was happy to send him and their mother letters. That was how she kept connected with them. However, in 2770, something incredibly happened, to her. She went to a clutch and a truly beautiful green dragon walked over to her. She was excited, as her dragon seemed to be her perfect match.
However, she only told Skylar, letting her mother learn from him and the people Kestral knew in Igen Weyr. Pyrrhiath did not approve of this, but she understood how Perryl felt and, based on what Perryl had told her, did not seem fond of Kestral's views, at least of what Perryl told her. However, Perryl knew she couldn't avoid her mother forever. She still wanted to be around her brother.
Thus, in late Spring of 2772, after graduating to become a dragonrider, she returned to Fort Weyr.
