FULL APPEARANCE: C'leu looks like one of those guys who, if not for a relatively active lifestyle of dragonriding, would weigh much more than he actually did. Even so, C'leu still carries a bit more than the average person his size. He stands at 6'4" so not too tall and not too short. He has a mop of ginger hair that refuses to behave despite any attempts he makes. His eyes are a bright blue and framed by nearly invisible blond lashes.

C'leu is a lad who doesn't seem to know when to just shut up. He'll talk your ear off if you let him. It doesn't help that he has a tendency to ramble and drifts from subject to subject.
He's young, but has strong feelings of Traditionalism due to the influence of his mentor. This feelings and opinions remained even after impressing one of the undesirable aberrations. Some Traditionalists distrust him due to the color of his dragon's hide which bothers him and he works extra hard to earn that trust and prove his loyalty.
C'leu is the kind if guy that just feels like a "best friend". He's supportive and a good ear if someone needs to vent. Not to everyone, mind. Only those he deems his peers. Namely, other Traditionalists. He's not unfriendly to those who don't share his world views, but he definitely treats his Traditional compatriots much better than more non-traditional weyrfolk.
He honestly hates Nyseth. He tolerates her and works with her because she is his dragon, but he doesn't really talk to her outside of training or threadfall.

HISTORY:
C'leu was born Coleus at Ista Weyr. He has no full siblings, though his father has sired a handful of other children from various mothers. He went to the creche like most weyrbrats do. He knows of his parent, but neither really spent too much time or energy on the lad as he was growing up. He didn't mind though, as he found a mentor in the form of a Traditional rider named V'tel.
V'tel took the lad under his wing, basically raising him as a son. Due to V'tel's influence, C'leu developed a mindset that was quite Traditional, despite his youth.
V'tel encouraged him to stand as a Candidate when he came of age, which he did. C'leu had wanted to be a rider anyway. He hoped for a strong brown like V'tel rode, but he would be perfectly fine with any color as long as it wasn't one of those Garnet aberrations.
Life was quiet in general for C'leu. He spent his time learning the things a Candidate would need to know, as well as anything V'tel would teach him.
His whole world shattered when he finally impressed in his 21st turn. He was standing for the clutch, like a candidate does, when he found himself assaulted by a very purple dragon. He honestly wanted to full on reject her and send her between, but he wasn't cruel enough to kill a baby, even one of a reviled color like hers. In the end, he bitterly accepted that he was meant to ride Garnet Nyseth.
Sadly, Impressing the Garnet led to V'tel shunning the lad. C'leu didn't blame him though. If he had a ward that had Impressed a Garnet, he would have done the same. He was upset that he lost the father figure that had practically raised him, but life is what it is.
C'leu and Nyseth completed Weyrling training and joined a fighting wing. They spent some time fighting Thread, and eventually, C'leu managed to get back into V'tel's good graces, as he proved to the older rider that despite Impressing a Garnet, his feelings towards them hadn't changed.
Recently, word started spreading about how the Weyrleader of Fort had taken the reins and was pushing to make Fort entirely Traditional again. V'tel admired the Bronzerider, and put in for a Transfer immediately. C'leu followed suit, as V'tel promised that he would vouch for the Garnetrider's character.
So the older rider and his former ward both transferred to Fort, ready to assist the Weyrleader however they could.
