FULL APPEARANCE:
Vox has a somewhat square jawline and sharp cheekbones, a slightly-downturned nose, pale beige skin which almost never burns, and almond-shaped eyes. His eyes are bright and his face is near always in a smile, people say that he exudes the presence of a well-needed warm hug or a freshly cooked loaf of banana bread, something warm and inviting.
He has a decent amount of freckles, the majority are on his face and shoulders, as well as his wrists and the tops of his hands, but he has an equal distribution everywhere else. Any scars on his body are all found on his hands, a mix of little scratches from cooking incidents as well as a few burns. His hands feel rough to the touch.
Vox wears bright colors and only bright colors, the darkest thing he would wear would either be his pants or his boots. He is often seen wearing one of his many short-sleeved collared shirts and a pair of pants during the warmer months. During the colder months or weather, the only difference to his wardrobe would be the addition of some sort of jacket, be it leather or another material. Due to his love of baking, he also is fond of wearing an apron.
He is often covered with a layer of flour or some other baking material, his hands and clothes are often the victims of this, but his hair has been known to have flour in there as well. Even after a bath, Vox smells like baked goods.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
Vox is a sweet and charming boy who just wants to get a smile out of other people. If you let him, he would talk your ear off, telling jokes (puns or riddles) or stories. He loves meeting new people and being able to experience something new. Always willing to lend a hand or help out someone too stubborn to ask for it, he is used to rushing around from place to place and has learned to handle busy schedules.
Although he is known for being overly helpful, Vox is not a pushover. He knows when enough is enough or when people are taking advantage of his kindness and he will snuff that out in an instant. He does not and will not tolerate someone trying to use him, although, he never notices that he is being used when his brother gets him to do things that may be illegal as he thinks he is just doing him a favor. There have also been a few times when some favors have been too much, and he has to decline them because they are far out of his abilities.
Vox is a little bit absent minded when it comes to himself, as well as self-deprecating since he always puts others beforehand. He doesn't take compliments well as he doesn't think that he deserves them, as he is just trying to be a good person. He takes no pride in anything that he does as he thinks it is common courtesy and that everyone should be helping others to move forward in life. In a way, he hates himself, but he hides it with a warm exterior.
HISTORY
FAMILY: Gragi (father), Brakke (mother), Cal (twin brother)
SIGNIFICANT OTHER: N/A
BIRTHPLACE: Fort Weyr
HISTORY: Vox grew up in Fort Weyr along with his brother in the creche as the secondborn of fraternal twins, Always supportive and trying to keep his trickster brother out of trouble (which never worked), Vox picked up a habit of being a helper. Somebody needed someone to pick up extra food for them? Someone needed help lifting something? He was there in a heartbeat and was eventually picked up a multitude of skills ranging from carpentry to baking, the ladder being a passion that he ended up pursuing. Eventually, he lost himself in his helpful nature.
Thinking of himself for once, he became angry at his brother for asking him to help him on one of his stealing sprees. He denied the offer, promised that he wouldn't say anything, and went back to his hobby of baking. Yet, when people began asking around as to who was stealing everything, he broke his promise and squealed on his brother. His brother was reprimanded and Vox felt terrible, but it worked out because Cal really did seem as if he had turned a new leaf.
After watching his brother Impress at the hatching, Vox became overwhemled with excitement, wishing that he too could be a part of something that amazing. Watching the dragons burst free from the eggs delighted him, the slight suspense of watching the dragon walk past the line of candidates to their bonded kept him on edge. He wanted to be a part of that, so he became a candidate.
