FULL APPEARANCE:
Aris finds herself rather unremarkable in terms of looks. She has shoulder length reddish brown hair often in large curls and held back from her face with a leather strip she has glued tiny sparkling rocks to. Almond shaped dark green eyes twinkle with warm from under long lashes. Her face is almost a cherub like round and her skin is a warm peach in hue, often flushed at the cheeks from her excitement at the world around her.
She is rarely seen without a smile on her face and despite her smaller stature, she is not someone that is easily pushed around, there is hidden strength in her smaller arms and legs, more than enough to repel the bullies she can't stand. Her nose is a bit more prominent than she would prefer and a hint of freckles dust her cheeks, almost invisible.
Her lips often look slightly flushed in color, due to her penchant for nibbling on them while she is often lost in thought. Her long fingers almost look awkward sitting on small hands, another of her features she is slightly self conscious about and often clasps them behind her back or hides them in her pockets.
Her body shape is slender, as she is blessed with a fast acting metabolism so weight gain isn't something she can do very easily. Her bust isn't anything to write home about and suits her smaller frame and rarely does she have to bind it down to carry out every day tasks. Her frame really does not have much in the way of curves, almost boy like in its design.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
Overly optimistic and sickeningly cheerful are a couple of terms that could describe Aris to the core. He is almost always around with a smile and a hug to those that need it and likes to make the people around him happy and relaxed. This extends beyond just family and friends, as he almost makes it a personal mission to get a smile from all the new people she meets.
A musically minded sort, he is often heard singing softly to his dragon or just a tune while working to keep him focused. While no nightingale, his voice is sweet, soft and not a crime on ears to listen to.
While such a sweet nature isn't always a bad thing, the constant on the bright side of the sun attitude can be a bit taxing and has caused him to stuff negative emotions away for when he is alone and can explode without an audience. This inward bottling of emotions had led to his chronic insomnia.
Due to his experiences with fighting other riders, the Threadfall and the ensuing plague and political strife, he is prone to fits of depression, insomnia and nightmares. These get worse when he is stressed.

BIRTHPLACE: High Reaches
HISTORY:
Aris ( born Stellaris) was born to Nerissa and Stellron, both riders. Her parents had planned to only have one child, as more than that would hamper them from their duties. But when a fraternal twin brother followed four minutes later, it was decided to leave the girls to the Creche and go back to their duties. Growing up in communal child care was commonplace so Aithiel thought nothing of it, nor of the parents that brought her into this world. The other children and her brother Neris were all she needed for family.
Most of her early childhood was unremarkable. Having been born from riders, she felt it was her calling to do the same and decided to begin training to do so. Her quick mind devoured all the information she could, as she enjoyed the learning as much as she did making people smile around her, a regular social butterfly. Some may have considered her endless cheer an annoyance but she just smiled and paid them no mind.
As she came of age and attended her first hatching, she became one very lucky girl as a large and uniquely patterned blue came forth from his egg. " Oh.. what a splendid and beautiful boy that one is!" She would exclaim to her fellows on the sands. As the dragon turned, almost like it heard her, he moved over to her, locked eyes and rainbows burst in his irises.
" I have found you at last! Fear not, for your Haurchefath has come!"
A cry of joy came from Stellaris and she knelt down and embraced the dragon gently around his neck, tears of happiness flowing from her eyes like a waterfall. She felt a sense of warmth and friendship from the beautiful blue she had never felt and was sure she was the luckiest girl in the Weyr right then. Her bond with her dragon was as strong as it could be, the pair the best of friends and practically attached at the hip as she did everything in her power to care properly for him, sometimes singing for him as a whelp because it seemed to keep him calm while she tended to him.
As she attended her classes and came closer to graduation, Aris began to have serious doubts about Golre... and knowing as a blue rider she was all but worthless in their eyes, she requested and was approved for a transfer to Fort. Once this was complete, she settled in happily in her new home.
But her contentment was shattered when the High Reaches attacked Fort Weyr. She was then thrust into the horrifying reality of fighting other Riders. While the Fort managed to repel the attack, it left its scars, literal and mental on her. She then began to detest the idea of such infighting and began to put her energies into bettering her own skills and training with Haurchefath.
As another attack, poisonings and deaths happened and the chaos of the political climate, she found it harder and harder to keep her smiles up constantly and the attempt to hold others up became very stressful and lead to her resuming fits of insomnia she thought she had put behind her. Finding ways to compensate her lack of sleep became a practiced art as she put her effort forth as much as she could.
When the severe Threadfall of 2764 hit, she felt her heart weep as others suffered, died and worried what befell the riders lost to the between. Between the Threadfall and the plague, she was kept busy and the work helped her stay out of her own head less.
As time pushed ever forward, Aris did as well, though the scars of the past had left their mark on her mind and it was hard at times to not slip into nightmares and fits of depression in private. There were things she even tried to keep from the friends she had made.
