FULL APPEARANCE: Regal is quite a tall individual with long black hair. Over six feet tall, he is often seen as more of a giant compared to anyone else. He is usually seen wearing a long brown tunic with matching brown pants. He chooses to keep his appearance simple and will often just wear similar shades of brown with his clothing. His black hair is usually held back in a ponytail, with a dully colored ribbon keeping it together.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY: Regal is often a stoic individual, not really speaking for the most part. Some believe this is because he has secrets he does not want to share to anyone in the world. He can appear very cold to others, especially those who are flirtatious. While he does not appear to be agitated often, he will glare quite angrily at people if they make him angry. He appears to also be a pacifist, refusing to kill or to even fight anyone. He does appear to have a softer side that most people do not get to see. He enjoys nature and caring for animals. He also had a fondness of children and will often be nicer to them compared to anyone else. Only Brickth can tell the pain throbbing inside of his heart and will often comfort him.

Regal lived a happy life before the incident. He had lived a fairly nice childhood in Ista Weyr for a couple of years. His parents had decided to move from Ista Weyr to Fort Weyr, as they had wanted a change of scenery. It was actually there where he met his lover, a beautiful woman named Alicia. He was offered candidacy when he became of age, which he was honored to accept.
While he was a candidate, the two had decided to become weyrmates as they felt they could not live without the other. Regal was fond of his beautiful lover and was happy when he found out Alicia was expecting. The two were beyond happy at the idea of their first child.
However, not everything has a happy ending.
Regal awoke once in the night to find her shaking beside him. He noticed that she was in pain and was quick to take her to a healer. By the time he had arrived, she was already bleeding.
He stayed by her side the entire time, trying to comfort her and trying to hold back his tears when he felt her life slip between his fingers. That day, he lost both his lover and his child and became a shell of the man he used to be. He stopped speaking and often refused to look people in the eyes.
For about a year, Regal took a break from his candidacy. Dragons were often stressed while they were young, so he had been encourage by the others to take a rest. This helped, in a sense, as he was able to grieve in peace before he would return to candidacy.
The first hatching he attended after this would be his last, however. He had impressed an egg which hatched a brown dragon named Brickth. The dragon was quite eager and energetic around him, much different than the much calmer and stoic Regal. The two held a strong bond that some people would never experience in a lifetime.
However, there was still a slight dull pain in his heart from living at Fort Weyr. He still missed Alicia, though the death did not affect him as badly as it had previously. However, he decided that it would be best to transfer to another area, known as High Reaches, after he graduated weyrlinghood. The change of scenery was a bit nice, though he was admittedly put off at first of the situation the place had.
He had been used to there being a gold at Fort Weyr and even then, people seemed to be wary about getting a gold. While queenriders had no power in the system High Reaches had, people still found getting a queen a controversial subject.
Regal firmly believes a gold would be good for High Reaches, as the population could be hindered otherwise. This could cause for more violence, he thought, and for there to be a worse situation when it came to dragons further down the line.

- Due to the situation between Fort Weyr and High Reaches Weyr, he has decided to return to Fort Weyr.
