FULL APPEARANCE: R'tai is very much a "pretty boy". They go to great lengths to make sure they look good. He is on the shorter side, fine boned and featured, lending to a natural feminine look.
His hair is golden brown and worn long. Sure, it was a hassle to deal with, but they liked the way it looked on them and thus worth the effort.
He loves long and flowy clothes, and bright, but not garish colors. They prefer dresses and skirts over trousers, and only wear them if absolutely necessary.

PERSONALITY:
R'tai is the type of person to leave a string of broken hearts behind him. He loves flirting and being with people, but hates the idea of committing to just one person. He is a ghost if someone tries to get to close to him. He doesn't have a problem with others being in relationships or the idea of them. He just doesn't feel like it's something he wants for his life.
Not to say they lack friends. R'tai has a natural charm and cheerfulness that can put people at ease around them. They are an extrovert and loves spending time gossiping over the latest rumors. Sometimes they can get carried away and spend time gossiping that she should be spending elsewhere, like on duties to the weyr.
R'tai is an optimist. To a fault really, as he views the world through rose colored glasses and will try to find the "good" in even the worst of people. A clever manipulator can easily use this again R'tai to their own gain. R'tai never seems to realize he is being manipulated, ignoring obvious red flags that would send others running.
R'tai still has a bit of a unconsciously Traditionalist mindset due to their being from the past. They aren't totally unwilling to consider the new ways, but sometimes they can spout off about how things are "right" or "proper" if they are caught off guard or upset about something.

HISTORY: R'tai's tale up until he got lost between is an average one that pretty much any weyrbrat would have. He was born to two rider parents and sent to the creche. He didn't have any strong ambitions in life, but he did like the idea of following in his parent's footsteps and becoming a rider.
While they don't quite remember it, when they were 6, a Bluerider disappeared and never returned. R'tai was interested in the way a young kid would be, but got bored of getting the same "I don't know" answer and they eventually moved on to other, more interesting things.
R'tai became a Candidate when he was old enough, and stood for many a Hatching. He was left standing many a time too. It was mostly due to the encouragement of his mother's dragon, a Search Dragon, that he kept trying.
Not long after they turned 20, their waiting finally paid off, and a sandy brown broke from his shell. Ebelith was certain R'tai would be a good match and the two were bonded forevermore.
After he graduated, R'tai developed a taste for the pleasures of the flesh. He sent Ebelith chasing nearly every green that rose, and even if he wasn't the winner, R'tai usually found himself a bed partner. Occasionally, if he tired if dragonfly, he would wander to Fort Hold and find some likely lover to share a few nights with.
R'tai was having one of those tyrsts at Fort the night before they skipped time. They were due to fight Thread the next day, so despite being exhausted, they took the trip between to what they thought was their Fort Weyr. It was not. It was quite a rude awakening for both R'tai and the Bronzerider who resided in what had been their weyr. Eventually, they managed to have an understanding and now, R'tai needs to learn about this new time and place he ended up in.
