M'lcolm is fairly tall and toned, in a way that isn't overly muscular. He's traditionally attractive, and absolutely knows it. He keeps his dark wavy hair clipped above his shoulders, but often has it styled in a way that looks effortless, but he absolutely fussed over. He perpetually has a 5 o'clock shadow that gives him a rugged edge.
When it comes to clothing, he is always in dark colors, no exceptions. He prefers his garments in black or dark grey. He'll make up for his limited color pallet with well-fitting clothing of fashionable cuts to show his style. He walks with a slight limp due to a past leg injury.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
M'lcolm is vain, conceited, self-centered, whatever word you want to use for it. He's incredibly concerned about his appearance, and takes time daily to make sure he looks exactly as he wants to before leaving the weyr. He knows he garners a good amount of attention as a bronzerider, and always wants to look the part.
He's an intelligent and calculating man, the sort who will rub his intelligence in others' faces in an "I told you so," manner. Because he is smart and knowledgeable on a number of subjects, he is constantly offering unsolicited advice and his opinions on matters at hand. M'lcolm loves to hear himself talk, and is the sort that can either be incredibly charming or incredibly annoying, depending on the audience. He absolutely uses his intelligence and smooth talking to get his way, and is a self-serving individual. He isn't afraid to get his hands dirty or deal with an unsavory sort if it'll put a few more marks in his pocket, especially because he thinks himself smart enough to not get caught.
As a quick thinker, he's usually good in a crisis. That doesn't mean he's never miscalculated the consequences of his actions, but in general he makes smart calls. He has a weak spot for friends and family, and will put himself in needless danger to save someone else, if they're close enough to him personally. He won't risk himself for a stranger.
A perpetual womanizer, M'lcolm will chat up and flirt with anyone who catches his fancy, taken or not. With a few reminders, he'll back off, but he's always on the lookout for his next ex-weyrmate. In regards to his children, he doesn't actively seek spending time with them, but is pleasant enough with them if they seek time with him.

BIRTHPLACE: Telgar Weyr
HISTORY:
Malcolm was born to a pair of riders of Telgar Weyr, and raised in the creche there. The epitome of weyrbrat, he was an argumentative child who thought he was much smarter than any of the adults in charge of him. He wasn't, he was just convinced he was. When he was old enough to learn to read, the creche workers were able to redirect a lot of his acting out by pointing him towards books and writings. He poured over these, learning much about old battles and the world around him, all from the comfort of the creche.
Once he was old enough, he joined the candidacy at Telgar. While he figured he could've become a harper, he wanted the social status that came with being a rider, figuring he would have time to pursue a craft if he didn't impress.
For multiple turns, it looked like he just might have to fall to his backup plan, but then at age 24, he impressed to Burranth. The bronze hatched right in the middle of the hatching, and instantly Malcom, now M'lcolm, knew all of his waiting was worth it. Not only did he have the part of him he never knew was missing, but the other part doubled as a status symbol.
His arrogance grew worse, and he thought himself as Faranth's gift to Pern. The trouble was, he was skilled as a rider and attractive to boot, so he had no reason not to be full of himself. He carried himself like this for several turns, cavorting and milking his status as much as possible.
At age 32, he got a serving of humility. While trying to show off for a particularly attractive young lady, he badly broke his right leg in a botched dismount that Burranth advised him against. It healed well enough, but since then he has walked with a slight limp. When asked about it, he will absolutely lie, and claim it was earned fighting thread.
Since the injury, he realized he's not going to be young and attractive forever (though he is convinced he will age fabulously), so he began taking an interest in politics. Unfortunately for him, everyone at Telgar already knew him as the cocky smartass, so he had very little success moving up in leadership. After several turns of frustrating red tape, he put in for a transfer to Fort, hoping for a fresh start.
He and Burranth completed the transfer Fall of 2776. The pair are eager to see what their new home holds in store for them.
