Jonathan is a tall, slimly yet athletically built man with a crooked, hooked nose and a crazy rad beard. His eyes are nearly always bloodshot with dark circles underneath because he always finds himself staying up way longer than he needs to be. His skin is very pale and his incisors are a little sharp. He has two noticeable scars, both of them small, one on the bridge of his nose and the other going down his upper left cheekbone.
He finds himself wearing fancy clothing, long coats, collared shirts and vests, things along that vein. Darker colors like black, grey and red seem to suit him best.
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
Jonathan has calmed himself down and took a step back, became a man who tries to help everyone he can out of the goodness of his heart, no matter if they are his patients or a friend with a favor. He’s a friendly, smooth talking, intelligent, with a knack for being persuasive, but, if the conversation finds itself going in a way much too personal for his liking, he can get quite socially awkward. Jon is a man of science, a healer, and sees himself as that before anything else. He will do anything to further the pursuit of knowledge, that is, if his morals allow it.
Despite his newfound good nature, he never fully dropped his former self. He is incredibly nosy, digging into other people’s business when he should not. Although he now at least listens to other points of view to aid with his own to end with the best result, he still believes that his way is the best way. He has a temper boiling on low heat that can and will burst out if a situation gets tough, but it's easier for him to reel it in than before.
HISTORY
FAMILY: Aubrey of Brown Solvirith (father, deceased), Emelyne (mother), Mary (twin sister), Ralph (brother-in-law, deceased), William (nephew, deceased)
SIGNIFICANT OTHER: N/A
BIRTHPLACE: Fort Weyr
HISTORY:
Jonathan was the eldest of two twin siblings. As a child, Jonathan was fascinated with healers, what they could do, what they could accomplish. While his sister had stayed home, lived a fairly normal life, Jon thought himself fit for greater achievements. A former egotistical, self-centred, ‘I can do no wrong and I know how to fix every problem’ sort of guy, Jonathan never received the personality shock he needed. He studied under the healers of the Weyr. As he studied, crammed, learned everything he could, lost himself in his passion.
After his graduation, his father was burnt badly during a particularly rough Threadfall. Jonathan, as his son felt as if he was responsible for treating his father. Yet, due to his new status and potentially clouded judgement, he refrained from treating him. Despite the other healer's best efforts, the burns were too severe to be treated, and Aubrey died during treatment. He left a letter behind to his wife unbeknownst to Jonathan, of which he would be instructed to read at the age of thirty-five.
Jonathan took his father’s death to heart, blaming himself. He couldn’t bear to see the grief that he thought that he put his family through, so he left once more. He travelled from hold to hold, visiting to help them with their sicknesses if they had no resident healer, or to aid them if they did have one. A few years passed and he found himself lonely, sure, he made acquaintances with people from one hold to the next, but there was no accompaniment. He missed his family, felt that maybe the years away from them had been enough, made him a better man. It was time to return home.
On his trip back, he came across a family travelling from one hold to the next. The son of the family was sick, so, with the supplies he had on hand, Jon gave the boy some medicine to help him get rid of the cold. While doing all this, he felt an extra pair of eyes on him, but couldn't pinpoint where they came from. After the family left, a wild green wher approached him, intrigued by his willingness to help somebody he had only met the one time. She seemed to make no move to hurt him so Jon made no move to run away. Feeling a sharp pain in his hand, he looked down to notice that the green had, in fact, bit him. Ow. Disinfecting the cut as soon as possible, Jon had a newfound companion once he reached the Weyr.
