PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
Remy is an intelligent, level headed young woman who isn't afraid to speak her mind. She'll say something if she knows she's right regardless of who she may offend. She's sharp as a tack and hard to fool; you have to get up pretty early in the morning to pull the wool over her eyes. That's not to say she doesn't miss things, but she's incredibly wise in the ways of the world and knows how to not be taken advantage of. She's got a sarcastic streak a mile long which sometimes gets her into trouble.
She values her independence and vowed from a young age to make sure she could take care of herself. She has a hard time allowing others to take care of her, even when she's ill or injured, not wanting to be a burden to them or appear weak. Remy doesn't want anyone to see her vulnerable side. She fears that people wouldn't take her seriously if they did. It's hard for her to open up to others and she often deflects as to not let on too much about herself. This makes making good friends difficult, but once she lowers her walls and lets others in, she's a loyal friend who will go to the ends of Pern for those she cares about.

BIRTHPLACE: Fort Weyr
HISTORY:
Remy was just one of the many weyrbrats who was born at Fort and grew up in the creche. She carved out here own little place in the Weyr, learning whatever she could from anyone who would teach her. She learned to take care of herself, wanting whatever independence she could get as a child. As the turns passed and thoughts of her future came to be, she needed to decide what path to take. She became interested in healing while watching healers at work during Threadfall and, wanting to help as they did, became an apprentice at 11. She worked hard throughout her apprenticeship and performed well, thought as the turns passed she found herself questioning her choice. Was she really doing the most good here? She was good at what she did and was learning well, but she still felt unfulfilled. The longer she considered, the more she felt that she wanted to be on the front lines, not in the sky, however, but on the ground.
At 19 she made the formal decision to become a wher candidate to some protest that she was wasting her potential, but Remy was determined do do what she felt was best for herself. The chaos of the ensuing Turns helped to cement that belief. The people of Fort needed protection, not just from Thread, but from outstide threats as well. She just needed a wher was all. She threw herself into candidacy and spent the next seven turns training and working to guard Fort while waiting for an egg.
