FULL APPEARANCE:
Bolin has short black hair, with a single stray lock stubbornly curling over the middle of his forehead, with an pair of light green eyes situated beneath thick black eyebrows. He has an adorable, expressive face, with the cutest grin you’ve ever seen. His nose is round, and button-shaped. He tends to wear green and brown colours frequently, with an occasional white shirt, and always paired with an good sturdy pair of boots.
He has a bulky, muscular build; there is an very obvious strength in him. Bolin is such a strong guy; he’s even strong enough to pick up his stiff older brother. Or even two of his siblings at once! Which is absolutely hilarious.
Bolin is clearly one very handsome, loveable goofball, and he knows it!
PERSONALITY
PERSONALITY:
Bolin is a bit of a himbo sweetheart.
He is a laid-back and fun-loving person who possesses a good sense of humor, in contrast to his morose older brother, and he is typically an optimist even in the face of disaster. Bolin is quite an idealist; he is always motivated by a strong desire to help people and make their lives better. While he is expressive, high-spirted, enthusiastic and comfortable in his own skin, he is also quite naive and readily admits he isn’t very good at reading other people.
Bolin is not the best at keeping secrets; in fact, he is such a terrible liar, that he can’t even lie his way out of trouble very well! Indeed, Bolin has a ‘knack’ for getting himself into trouble, according to whichever sibling you ask; he’s well-meaning, but he can also be impulsive and very much oblivious to consequences in his naive idealism, unfortunately. He sometimes comes up with terrible and very poorly thought-through ideas, and he can be rather gullible at times, both of which often either leads him into hot water or into being taken advantage of by others.
With that said, although he is a helpful and friendly wherhandler, Bolin is also protective of the people about whom he cares, and will spring forward to the defense of his friends and family. Yet Bolin is also generally forgiving of others, even if they have wronged him or those he cares about. He often gets starstruck in the presence of powerful or famous figures, but manages to stay respectful and deferential toward them most of the time.
Bolin tries to flirt with girls, but he is not always especially good at it. He is very much a novice in the world of dating/flirting/romance… but Bolin is such a lovable goofball, though!

HISTORY:
Second-born to rider parents in Turn 2748, Bolin spent much of his childhood in Igen Weyr’s creche. Growing up—and even now—he adored his older brother to bits, despite Rhaadys’ exceedingly serious nature. His life was pretty ordinary, truth be told.
The Interval War ended the Turn Bolin turned seven, and when he was ten, the 10th Pass began; meaning he somewhat vaguely remembered what life was like before Thread’s arrival. Like many of the children around him, Bolin entered Candidacy at the age of fifteen—enthusiastically taking in and learning everything he could. Sometimes while being quite the goofy class clown! He liked getting people to laugh, especially his siblings.
Bolin Stood for several clutches over the Turns, eventually opting in to dual Candidacy. Especially because he thought whers were cool too! He eventually Impresses a sweet little white wher named Bolisk just after his 20th Turnday, which Bolin was predictably very excited about!
Upon learning his elder brother had aged out and subsequently left the Weyr with an travelling trade caravan the very next day (after the ageing out), Bolin of white Bolisk was a little wounded that Rhaadys didn’t seem to think it was worth saying goodbye to him. Although, being the optimist he was, he soon got over it; optimistically thinking that his brother’s departure must be temporary, if he hadn’t bothered to say goodbye.
About two Turns later, Bolin finds out that Rhaadys (and one of their younger siblings) now resided at Fort Weyr. Well, of course he had to transfer there! And apparently his brother had a wher now too! Excellent… The white wherhandler promptly applied for the necessary transfer papers, and—eventually upon getting his request approved—began the process of moving to Fort Weyr. He is very excited to see (and meet) his siblings again!
