FULL APPEARANCE: Eclipsa has brown hair she usually keeps pinned up and up to her shoulders in length. It is a bit poofy as a result. Due to her age, her hair had strands of grey going through it and she is showing signs of aging in her face (wrinkles on her forehead and crow's feet). She will often wear dark colors and dresses, giving her the appearance of an older woman due to her outfit choices. Her brown eyes are often calm with a maternal glow. She has a slightly slouched posture.

Eclipsa is a mother figure. She is very calm and approachable, a kind hearted person. She will often speak to others if they appear to be struggling and give them advice on how to help. She also states she would rather be hated for being herself, rather than being loved for someone else, and encourages people to just be themselves, as things will work out for them.
She is also impulsive, especially when it comes to sweets, often taking more than her fair share if there are extra slices and enjoying them. She especially loves stuff flavored with klahbark, especially klah. Along with her impulsiveness to sweets, she is also impulsive in her decisions. She will rush forward without thinking of the consequences. This can cause for her to rush to the wrong conclusion and cause problems while talking to other people.
She is also willing to do anything to make sure her loved ones are safe. Because of this, she is willing to do something she would normally not agree with in order to ensure that the people she loves are safe. Along with this, it can leave her to being easily manipulated. Due to her desire to do anything to ensure her family and loved ones are happy and safe, if someone convinces her what they plan on doing will guarantee her goals, she will follow them, regardless of consequences.

Eclipsa lived most of her life living during the Interval War. Her parents, Alphonse and Solaria, were a pair of dragonriders who had chosen to become weyrmates and had a single child: their bouncing baby girl, Eclipsa. Her uncle was often around her, teaching her how to read and write at a young age. Even as a child, Eclipsa seemed to like creepy things. While some kids would run from insects, she found them fascinating and would often draw pictures of them. Often, her parents were away at war, fighting between the other weyrs due to the war going on.
As Eclipsa neared the age of fifteen, her mother asked her about her thoughts of becoming a candidate. Eclipsa stated she didn't really want to become a dragonrider like her. Solaria was shocked at this, as she had expected and wanted Eclipsa to follow in her parents' footsteps. After a long discussion, they came upon an agreement: Eclipsa could become a whercandidate if she aged out of being able to become a dragon candidate at the age of twenty five. After all, Solaria didn't think it would be right if there was the perfect dragon for her and she ended up not wanting to be a dragonrider. Thus, when Eclipsa turned fifteen, she became a candidate.
Shortly after she entered candidacy, she met an older candidate named Globgor. He was only three years older than her, but both of them were brand new candidates. They quickly became good friends, sharing their mutual interests in insects and other creepy stuff. It almost became a ritual for the two to spend time together and talk about different topics, or what happened in their days. He also mentioned that he didn't eat meat, mostly as he didn't like the texture. He encouraged Eclipsa to try it and she decided she liked eating only vegetables and fruit more than her previous diet.
As time went on, the two realized they were falling in love. Globgor even asked if they could become partners. This concerned Solaria a bit, as Globgor was a whercandidate. What if he influenced Eclipsa to reject a dragon if it impressed her? She spoke to it about her brother and he assured her that Eclipsa wouldn't reject a dragon. Along with this, he highly doubted Globgor would have her reject a dragon either. Just because he was a whercandidate, it didn't mean he wasn't going to approve of what Eclipsa impressed, even if it was a dragon.
Globgor ended up impressing at the age of 22 and graduated at 24. Eclipsa, 21 at the time, was very happy for him due to his graduation and the two ended up having a night together. This resulted in Eclipsa being with child. Since she became pregnant, she took a break from candidacy to prepare herself for the birth of their future daughter, Festivia.
During this time, a unique hatched at Telgar Weyr. Eclipsa sat there with Globgor, holding their newborn daughter as the candidates impressed. She was just happy watching others impress, wondering if it would be Festivia up there one day, impressing her own dragon. When Festivia was a year and a half old, she returned to candidacy, as she was eating solids and her grandparents and great-uncle were happy to watch her.
Eventually, more and more time passed before Eclipsa aged out of being a dragon candidate. This was not a problem to her, she thought, as she had originally wanted to be a whercandidate. It was also during this time, the Interval War had ended, as Thread had been due to return. This was worrying and she could only watch as her parents and Globgor fought thread.
When she had just turned 26, she attended a hatching and met Eclipsk. She was a pudgy wher, even as a child, and the two had an instant connection. With this, she became a wherling and worked hard in her studies to become a wherhandler. Upon graduation, there was a lot of excitement and soon, Eclipsa found her pregnant with what would be her second daughter, Meteora. Now, their family was complete, the two thought.
However, this peace would not last.
While their weyr had not been involved when Golre declared war on Fort Weyr, Telgar Weyr quickly found itself housing several refugees. Eclipsa and Globgor offered their help as best as they could, along with her parents and uncle. From what they understood, the raids the Mad Gold had started caused several causalities. Globgor was worried, as his parents were from Fort Weyr.
After a discussion, they ultimately decided they would move to Fort Weyr once the raids had finished. Eclipsa was a bit worried to say goodbye to her parents and uncle, but she was surprised. Solaria immediately stated they were coming with them. It wouldn't be fair for Festivia and Meteora to suddenly leave their grandparents after knowing them for so long. Secretly, Eclipsa thought it was because her mom couldn't bear to not be in the same weyr as her granddaughters.
They arrived the day after the hatching of Serapheth. Globgor's parents were alright, but they were happy to meet their granddaughters when they met Meteora and Festivia.
After Serapheth rose as Senior queen, and during her second clutching, two people from Benden Weyr attacked the gold dragon and kidnapped two riders during the touching. Tuckal, the rider of Serapheth, attacked Benden Weyr after they threatened to execute a white dragonrider named Pia. Solaria had been part of the assault. Eclipsa was naturally worried for her mother and was relieved when the dragonrider came back with the others.
In 2770, two eggs mysteriously disappeared from Fort Weyr. When Solaria heard they ended up in High Reaches Weyr, she was enraged. Eclipsa tried her best to calm down her mother. However, she did understand her anger and the concern she had.
After all, what if the dragons couldn't impress because they weren't where they had been born and touched?
As more people joined Fort Weyr after leaving High Reaches Weyr, she got the full story. They did hatch, but four candidates were injured as a result and one of the dragons had impressed to a man in the stands.
However, she's unsure of what will happen due to the latest tension between the two weyrs.
